I think you're friend was actually right that btc was too expensive though . how ironic
The irony must be so subtle that I can't see it.  We're not talking "The Gift of the Magi" ironic here; I think it's more a case of shit luck.  The exchange AlcoHoDL set up his friend on just happened to have the mix of the alts that would prove to do well and only those alts in fact.

What's ironic is that AlcoHoDL calls this person friend yet sets them up on Kraken.  Friends don't let friends do Kraken.

Thankfully it all worked out.

LOL, you're right about Kraken, but it worked OK at the time...

Good thing is that he is now a HoDLer! A Ripple/Stellar HoDLer! He just logs in to Kraken to check his balance. Every other day he calls me and thanks me for what I've done for him. And whenever we go out for dinner or drinks, he always insists on paying the bill. So I got something out of it too, thanks XRP/XLM!

What, you're saying he can actually log in to the kraken every day? The comments in its announcement thread suggest it's sometimes impossible to log in, and if you can the trading engine is so broken that it can take hours to simply place an order.

It's slow as fuck but you can log in and trade. But only f you're old enough to remember 56k modem internet speeds, otherwise you're right, it takes hoooooours and it's impossible to log in.

XLM about to do amazing things... half the supply as XRP..... I think XLM gets to $2 or more on this pump easily. what do you guys think?

So only 50 billion? WOW SUCH CRYPTO

Edit:   I just fact checked.  XRP has a total supply of 100 billion. XLM has a total supply of 103 billion. That does it.    I’m never going to trust a random shill again.

I can't complain too much about Stellar. I'm still holding my air-dropped Stellar from last year. More free money is more free money.

Holy shit, you guys are still here.

well yeah...duh

you missed it dude, we had page count parity for a while

Ha. Nice.

I was listening to the Proudhon song, and at one point in the video there is an image of all the forum avatars of the old timers from this thread. I remember being pissed that mine didn't make the cut. Then I was like... are those guys still there? Is Proudhon still here? He/she was calling bubble before anyone even heard of bitcoin, haha. Then I saw the video uploader was TheKoziTwo, who I seem to recall poured a shit ton of cash into Gox before it collapsed.... ouch. Hope he/she is still around.

Good luck with all the wall watching guys. I moved on to crypto twitter. Still HODLing.

Proudhon still pops in at critical moments to drop a sarcastic gem.  Adam moved on to reddit.  Spiff is still around, but with a replacement account.  TheKoziTwo...

Its really quite amazing...47 million digit number.

The most interesting thing I found was the hardware used.

The primality proof took six days of non-stop computing on a PC with an Intel i5-6600 CPU. To prove there were no errors in the prime discovery process, the new prime was independently verified using
four different programs on four different hardware configurations.

Aaron Blosser verified it using Prime95 on an Intel Xeon server in 37 hours.
David Stanfill verified it using gpuOwL on an AMD RX Vega 64 GPU in 34 hours.
Andreas Höglund verified the prime using CUDALucas running on NVidia Titan Black GPU in 73 hours.
Ernst Mayer also verified it using his own program Mlucas on 32-core Xeon server in 82 hours.
Andreas Höglund also confirmed using Mlucas running on an Amazon AWS instance in 65 hours.

Not only was the Vega twice as fast as the NVidia it was the fastest overall. The Vega is a compute monster from all ive read. Drivers and optimizations in software are only now starting to catch up to it.
With all thats going on about Intel shitting the bed and the Ryzen platform from AMD hitting a home run in 2017..I like the look the road map coming for hardware up and into the 2020's.
Now if memory prices would just go down...

But have you checked if you will be receiving any?
I looked on ub explorer and it would appear that my ubtc has been sent to one of Garzik’s addresses.
Not sure if he is planning to recalculate and give them out manually or if I didn’t fill the phase 2 criteria?
Thought I had though?
Will wait and see what happens I guess as I have no choice!

YOU ARE the GREATEST, TERA bera...

WE love your comments so much, because we are in this BTC WO thread to contemplate the tens of thousands of percents rise of alts... so pull our stupid-ass ostrich heads out of the sand and woke us.

For all the shills and cucks who claim "it's not the jews", straight from the horse's mouth:

"It is a war between the Jews and the non-Jews," said former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger about the White House.

What I'm saying is nobody admits they were wrong when they say an alt is garbage and isnt going anywhere but then it rises 10,000% instead. I just here the same thing in here every day about how bitcoin is the one and only king and anyone who buys an alt must be idiots. Like the people who bought XRP at $0.1 are still idiots

So, I spent $15k USD, with change and paid a $10 transaction fee, and it confirmed in 32 minutes. That's not too bad.

What I'm saying is nobody admits they were wrong when they say an alt is garbage and isnt going anywhere but then it rises 10,000% instead.

Nobody was wrong.  The more centralized a coin is, or the bigger a scam it is where they just print coins out of thin air, the more incentive and easier it is for the scammer who controls it to pump.  Especially when you can create coins out of thin air (Ethereum, Ripple, any pre-mine coin) and then send those coins to Poloniex and use as margin collateral.  That's 100% fraud.  The idea a valueless imaginary token can be used as collateral for anything is a joke. Also, if bitcoin wasn't completely centralized the price would probably be lower because there's less incentive for scammers to pump it.
