I prefer taking some profit now and be able to buy back when it hits the true bottom. Or buy back on its way up again, even for a higher price. The difference in price is the cost of my insurrance.
You dont need to sell everything. You can sell a small part to buy back at the bottom. Its the same way when you put 5-10% of your bitcoins in a altcoin exchange, you go there to increase your bitcoins, not because you have faith in some random white paper.

Personally I keep my altcoin portfolio intact, except for ripple (sold that one as well). Sold all the bitcoins for now. Tomorrow will be an exciting day. I've set my buy-back targets at 4500 USD or 8750 USD. It can hurt, or it can be a win. But either way, $ are in the bank.

If you are all so 'convinced' it will go even lower, why not dump now and buy back later?
We don't like to gamble. I can understand. But I see it as the same risk (as god knows if it will go up or down) as keeping it now. I prefer taking some profit now and be able to buy back when it hits the true bottom. Or buy back on its way up again, even for a higher price. The difference in price is the cost of my insurrance. I never did any all in/all outs since Mt.Gox. My strategy is dollar cost averaging. I buy some every month. Sometimes I buy from the top, sometimes I buy from the bottom. Works fine for me.

I was searching for the mining cost in China. I read it was around $4,100, but it was a article from last year, dont know if its cheaper or expensive now. Coincidentally, this is the same price predicted by sgbett in the other thread. 4k seems fair as a absolute bottom. If it go lower maybe the miners will do something. Since China is banning mining (didnt check if this one is fake yet) and Russia are calling miners to work there, maybe we could take into consideration mining costs in Russia.

I plan to buy some in April, whatever the price. Accumulation will continue, just not now. I think that overall wall street has gone complete nutso. Maybe, they will correct a lot as well.

Nice little video if you are a HODLer and believe in BTC and need a bit of morale boost today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZlDpQpC2pMForget for a minute that he is selling a course.

Instituions were behind the pump. They're also behind the dump.
It's how they "get in".

Indeed. Much better to be on the buy side in moments like these.

This pump&dump also shows another thing. Markets still can be manipulated by a few people. This is a good thing in some way. Shows us that we are still in early phase. When this is over, bitcoin will be like gold. No %80 down/ups in a week, nothing exciting, moving slowly as a turtle, boring as fuck. You should be glad that fun ain't over yet. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee
