Standoff between Roubini and ryptocurrency community finding expression in the Twitter vs bitfinexed D-DOSSers axis. Twitter have suspended Bitfinex'd's (Bitfinex fractional reserve whistleblower) account due to D-Dossing and Roubini's raging about it.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Massive pump now... it would be super nice if the price doubles in a couple of weeks (or more).

Otherwise, it would be also interesting if it fluctuates between 6k and 12k, just to buy more in this interesting time fragment.

The pump should go on until 11k-12k is reached.

This is within the Trendline for 2017 before the huge FOMO to 19k.

Then we can slowly rise again as we did in 2017

The next question is what are all these shitcoins going to do. I would prefer if ETH just stayed went down, rather than running even more than btc.

ETH is a disease carrier.

At least ignoring people makes the page catch-up quicker.... But does no one else think some things are beyond the pale?

I just despair of a worldwide forum supposedly devoted to freedom for all being so intolerant and ignorant sometimes. I guess it's me that's the oddball looking at the shit that passes by here as 'normal' as far from it.  I have punched people for less, and yep, had the shit kicked out of me for objecting, too.

However, I don't think advocating racism and even genocide on here is anything but abhorrent and I never will, so I can't change my spots.

I cannot tolerate it when my forbears fought and were prepared to (and sometimes did) die to fight this, so I think I had better stop lurking here.

I  temp. unignored a few of these racists to find out what had pushed you over the edge.

None of them say anything useful about bitcoin or the price or the world. Unlike you, who occasionally...

They must have been very hurt somewhere along the line to be so rabidly, rigidly raging.

I don't argue with them, because they certainly won't change in the face of logic.

Horrified newbies will always engage them, so their cries will leak into one's feed.

Maybe we should engage those newbies with stirring little speeches rather than running away.

I think MasterLuc has lost his edge recently, and I don't believe we'll languish for a year at 10K.
What's his TA background?

He’s made some killer predictions in the past. That’s his background.

Also he’s Russian and it’s always fun trying to translate his posts.

Actually we had the most vol on any 1 hour and 2 hour candles on both stamp and BFX since the ATH. Vol is good enough for this to be the bottom.
Correct, but the relative volume to the rest of the surrounding timeframe is not distinguished enough for me to really consider this the bottom. When we hit the 7700 Level again and bump up again with a similar rise in volume things are pretty clear.
Or we go up to 9000+ on another 2billion volume.
That would be pretty clear as well.

Well, of course we need to see sustained green candles higher than red and some more green candles supported by vol. But it looks good enough so far.

Yes, it is not looking bad. But neither is it looking like we are finally out of the woods. Could be nothing but a glade.

Will we be the entire year around 10k? I doubt it.

If it is so, I will have to start trading gambling, selling high and buying low.

I still will not be inclined to feel any semblance of meaningful relief regarding the bottom is in until prices get back securely above $10k.

Not sure I should be admitting this, but I'm thinking of selling another batch, for tax liabilities, as soon as it recovers back to $10k.

Whatever is left after taxes, is what I live on until the fund starts kicking in next year.

Play it safe, sorta thing. That slide from $14.5k to $11.5k took a year off my life over the stress/timing for retirement funding.

You should have moved to a TAX Friendly country before selling your BTC!

TL;DR The central figure of the central banks' central bank is wary about the idea of decentralised money.

How could anyone even pretend to be remotely surprised?

Protip: Everyone is racist. Just a matter of if you prefer your own kind, or others.

It is also, obviously, a necessary trait. When two groups meet and one wants to wipe the other out, and the other does not, guess who dies?

And all the emotional language you people use is a sign of weakness. It's a clear sign that that's all you have. You have no arguments, only emotional outrage. Much like a two year old.

I retired before I was 40 thanks to crypto.  Fear not, you won't regret it. Best. Decision. Ever.

What do you do instead?
Some work is healthy for you, keeps you on your toes; it doesn't have to be a 9-5 type job.

I went back to school to study based on personal interests instead of studying something solely in order to get a job at the end.  And I'm learning music, writing, travelling and generally keeping myself busy, instead of being kept busy by an employer.

To me this sounds more like a hiatus/recharging batteries/changing life direction than a real long term retirement.
Prediction: you'll be back..sometime. Nothing wrong to work for yourself either as in owning a business.

Yeah, I agree that's what I thought it might have been too - an opportunity to recharge.  However, having now been retired for several years, I can confirm that I'll definitely not be returning to work.  I considered starting a business (again) but could find little attractive about that option.  Folk often say that they'd have to carry on working if they won the lotto, just to give themselves something to do.  To me, that seems to be the sign of a small mind - there are so many interesting things to do out there, places to visit, things to learn, people to meet, discussions to be had - all of which are so much more enjoyable when they don't have to be done in order to earn a wage.

For so many, the need to work gets in the way of being able to do or try all of those things. Work uses up so much of our time that it gets in the way of life.

Thankfully I'm in very good health and enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, which I can now pursue without having to squeeze in x hours per day at a place I don't want to be and, often, with people I don't want to be with.  Sure, early retirement isn't for everyone, I guess it depends on your personality type.

I'm also enjoying being able to help out friends and family financially and watch them pursue their own goals, which wouldn't have been possible for them without a helping hand. That makes me really happy.
