China was humiliated by the 20k bitcoin after banning it.
I think they are interested in low prices.
Would be funny to see them eat shit again.  Grin

A lot of them are on holiday already, when they're back, you will see how interested they are.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I retired before I was 40 thanks to crypto.  Fear not, you won't regret it. Best. Decision. Ever.

What do you do instead?
Some work is healthy for you, keeps you on your toes; it doesn't have to be a 9-5 type job.

I went back to school to study based on personal interests instead of studying something solely in order to get a job at the end.  And I'm learning music, writing, travelling and generally keeping myself busy, instead of being kept busy by an employer.

To me this sounds more like a hiatus/recharging batteries/changing life direction than a real long term retirement.
Prediction: you'll be back..sometime. Nothing wrong to work for yourself either as in owning a business.

In my case, anthropology. Humans are a fucked up creature. And it's really more like a 24/7 job.

We'll face resistance now.
Likely short lived though.

From here it's either down fast and soon with next stop 3,3k or up to 10,2k in about a week. Upside more likely.

Edit:
To all of you who are retiring right now and have Money to throw around, SSI could always use some donations.

So, just sent an email to our CTO to set up a meeting/brief-chat, to let him know that I'm resigning.

Shit just got real.

Don't like the circumstances under which I'm leaving, but nothing I can do about it. My hand is being forced. (They want things their way, I want things my way, no way to meet in the middle...)

I'm likely to be throwing a small wrench into the works with my resignation, but I just can't deal with my manager and constant reorgs anymore.

End of an era approaching for me.

Kinda depressed, and then I think "Why you so depressed dude ? You're fucking retiring early, dawg ! Going to live the dream and so-on-and-so-forth. Get a fucking grip."

Will be nice to step away and focus on me for the rest of my unnatural life.

Soon.

Never imagined I would be dealing with this sort of existential angst with retirement mere weeks away...

The pitch to new investors (where price appreciation to 25k is going to come from)

It's not too late to tell your parents to buy physical silver instead.

Ouch...

That happened in my old hometown (Malmö) the other day. She was groped by an immigrant in a nightclub called Babel and slapped the guy. Later when she was going home the guy waited for her outside and smashed a bottle in her face, bystanders intervened but the guy got away before the police arrived.
That's one of the reasons I moved to another town.

Malmö must be one big shitfest.

Sweden was just simply incredible naive with all that muslim immigrant stuff.

You are absolutely right, used to be a nice  town  though.

Think that way, you glorious holy christs came to their countrys, destroyed everything, killed their parents, grandparents, children, left nothing behind, no infrastructure, no stone on an other. You holy people thought you can get their oil and land just by bringing "democracy". But nothing on this planet is for free.

The crusades were a response to 400 years of muslim attacks. We should just glass them, wipe them off the planet. Nobody except muslims would care or notice.

Protip the second of the day: Look up the muslim invasion of India.

Yea it's intolerable situation... these same people allowing this invasion are the ones trying to crash bitcoin.

Are bears still considering 3K with THIS chart? Really? Give it up and go back to hibernation. The groundhog saw his shadow. You can come back in 6 weeks for the crash from 13K.

At least ignoring people makes the page catch-up quicker.... But does no one else think some things are beyond the pale?

I just despair of a worldwide forum supposedly devoted to freedom for all being so intolerant and ignorant sometimes. I guess it's me that's the oddball looking at the shit that passes by here as 'normal' as far from it.  I have punched people for less, and yep, had the shit kicked out of me for objecting, too.

However, I don't think advocating racism and even genocide on here is anything but abhorrent and I never will, so I can't change my spots.

I cannot tolerate it when my forbears fought and were prepared to (and sometimes did) die to fight this, so I think I had better stop lurking here.

Let's all enjoy this glorious moment in the Sun.

  • The price dump is over and with a bit of luck we may never see sub 6k prices again. It may be a bear trap, but we have seen how we can bounce back yet again.
  • Falcon Heavy made a spectacular liftoff and landing. Starman will go down in history.
  • The stockmarket crash educated a few more people that these price corrections have nothing to do with real news or fundamentals. It also distracted the MSM from Bitcoin with perfect timing.
  • The awesome reality of lightning network is sinking in. The mempool and fees are looking great. The lame justification for the toxic Bcash scam that so damaged the community has evaporated overnight. The BCH/BTC chart looks like the BCH price vs. BTC is dead as a dodo. This will be the first and most important shit-coin scam-coin domino to fall.
  • The SEC senate testimony on crypto is also very bullish. We have turned a big corner here - beyond just understanding how it works to actually seeing how crypto can improve the financial system for all of us.

What next? The butthurt haters will keep on hating because crypto threatens their worldview. That's the reality - but Bitcoin will keep on being Bitcoin. And finally Tether - it's survived all this shit and held it's value through this epic price move and FUD. It's not perfect, but it's critical to the ecosystem to have at least one pegged crypto. It's the best we have at the moment until some bank or government gets some balls and creates an official pegged crypto for us to use.

The next question is what are all these shitcoins going to do. I would prefer if ETH just stayed down, rather than running even more than btc.
