Oh yea, and if anyone was wondering what the (((government's))) solution is for the coming Seneca cliff in oil:

http://www.newsweek.com/disease-x-deadly-mystery-malady-could-one-day-kill-millions-839759

I like that! Actually having foresight, who would of thought it?

http://www.who.int/blueprint/priority-diseases/en/

Quote
Disease X represents the knowledge that a serious international epidemic could be caused by a pathogen currently unknown to cause human disease, and so the R&D Blueprint explicitly seeks to enable cross-cutting R&D preparedness that is also relevant for an unknown “Disease X” as far as possible.

It sure beats the hell out of  throwing more money at boogeymen.

Roger Ver: Bitcoin Jesus Becomes Bitcoin Judas

https://theicojournal.com/roger-ver-bitcoin-jesus-becomes-bitcoin-judas/

Does anyone even edit any more?

The piece would be fine, and I agree with its thesis, but proofreading errors drive me absolutely nuts.

I see it more and more in so called journalism, even on big name sites.  The hard bitten copy editors of old are spinning in their graves.

What kind of bullshit chart is that?  Let's just pretend this enormous drop to $6000 didn't happen and that there's some arbitrary floor where none exists!

Is it just me or is the mood in here turning very #CRAEFULGANG?

What does #CRAEFULGANG mean?

It' a parody on hey hey heyyyy...bitconnnneeee...ctttt dude.

Ya'know, those smug douchebags can mock and parody Bitcoin and crypto all they want. I'm sure Jamie Dimon and the big bank establishment is loving that shit, as it keeps the Average Joes away longer because they mock it, like Bitcoin and the whole space is just one big scammy joke, a short term fad that only idiots would get involved in. Mind fuck on Average Joe, mission accomplished.

But we'll have the last laugh alright... oh yes...

Yeah - to them, we're all Dan. Note that in the last depiction, Dan has a Lambo. Methinks they're just coming to grips with their jelly.

I suggest we all buy matching belts so they can know us as the brotherhood of Dans.

I agree its not the magic bean you are looking for.. I thought it interesting because its a power company and its going to integrate the new LN protocol into its payment system so you will be able to charge electric vehicles..which I think is brilliant. Having worked in and around heavy industry for decades I can tell you that for a company this size to be signing up to test and use LN is incredible. The behemoths in the USA do not change direction easily so to see this happening in Japan is positive news for me. Meaning other companies are more likely to jump aboard already proven tech.

Will the price of bitcoin go up or down...yes..it will. I also think its a good time to buy the dips when you can and to hodl bitcoin..thats what I think.

@anon136  My senses were telling me the same things so dont feel bad..I think those moves caught many by surprise.

@LastoftheV8s  Thanks for your interest. What little writing I do about bitcoin are mostly right here at the wall.

I thought his piece was really fair. And that says a lot because I really don't like that pretentious fart sniffer one little bit. This sector needs to be ridiculed. In many ways it has and is going the wrong direction. He attacked all of the nonsense that deserved it and none of the great projects that don't.

And sure nobody likes Dan. But everyone wants to be Dan. Cheesy

This sector needs to be ridiculed. In many ways it has and is going the wrong direction.

There is no way for bitcoin to go the right direction without all users processing their own transactions just like email PoW.  The only way to accomplish that is unprofitable PoW, which is an unworkable system that typically requires artificial, forced convergence.  All other forms of cryptocurrency are just Rube Goldberg machines trying to disguise the fact that transaction validators are designed to terminally centralize in every single one of their systems.

Once you understand all these things as fact, you will realize bitcoin is the worst greater fool asset ever created.  What it tries to base it's entire fundamentals on - decentralization, doesn't exist at all.  For most people attempting to escape banker enslavement, they're generally looking for an alternative to put all of their money in, or none at all.  There is no valid case whatsover for anyone to put all their money in bitcoin.  The fundamentals just do not exist.

The only thing that has those fundamentals are physical silver and gold.

For once I agree with roach. Normally I criticize people for connecting just 2 arbitrary points in a chart. But this guy managed to daw a line that connected 0 points in the chart. How do you even do that? Congratulations.

You make it sound like macro trends are dependent on micro connections.

It is a generally held belief that the spike down to $6k was caused by our Tokyo whale and that he will not sell again until September.  If this is correct then the $6k drop can be disregarded as an extraordinary event.

I appreciate that suggesting we may be going through a consolidation phase cuts across your belief that we are in a 2014 replay.  For myself, I am not so sure about that.  Roach is merely talking his book.

Please keep in mind that I am not betting the house on this chart.  I am fully hedged against a sub $3k drop. But it’s useful to consider what a March recovery should look like as it is an entirely plausible outcome.  In this regard, I don’t particularly mind that the candles don’t match up nicely.   Looking at the forest rather than the trees if that metaphor suits you better.

and really there could be some alt coin shaking dynamics that continues to delay our bicycle trip that takes us to the car that takes us to the train that takes us to the rocket, etc etc...
u get urselfie a grip, too!!!!!!!    Tongue

Making your new year’s resolutions? Improving your fitness might be one of your top goals. Next year, you could do that by riding a bike to work, while earning some cryptocurrency along the way too.

Is this bicycle based mining something that is already in bitcoin or something that you are working on?

Maybe some of us will already have so much money that we won't be motivated in that direction?  Perhaps?

hella snip

what in the name of fuck was all that? Bob was hacked by a shitcoin shill? and our resident Socrates just plods through the points?

edit: well that sounds like the real bob next post. I'm too old for this shit.

You did not include the macro trend on your chart. You need to zoom out. I think I know what line you're talking about though. The one that's already been broken and is being obligatorily rested now just like the higher sloped one above it tested and failed and then it will drop down to obligataily test the big one at $3K for over a year
