Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

For those of you who don’t venture into Meta, they currently have a poll running - Most entertaining person on btctalk - 3 votes per user - Some of you guys are listed as options!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5008800.0

Bob and V8 are there. This is no surprise.
And "young" micgoossens is on the list too!!  Shocked  Grin Grin Grin I see another legend in the making. Well, a hero at least.

No Hairy, though. And Jimbo is missing, too. I find his "Good morning bitcoinland"s and "Go bitcoin go"s refreshing, reassuring and soothing - if not exactly entertaining.

Iran has recently announced that they will begin to treat cryptocurrency mining as an industry. This comes after increased pressure on the country enforced by changing economic sanctions imposed by the United States. Amidst this bullish news, the price of Bitcoin BTC was reportedly around $24000 [converted] on some Iranian exchanges.

I've seen a sharp, quick drop. My new short is in the green. The long is suffering a bit, but it gave some fruits already.

Mid-high 6k's are likely IMO (SOMA).

would be good if the 4h candle doesn't close under the yellow line (support) if it would then the pink box must hold

Still 1.5h before closing , if it closes as right now it would be good than the stop losses are taking from them that where long on that level

The price has dropped to quite a strong level
I think on the fact of its breakout it will be possible to speak, is it a correction it or a turn

I wouldn't be surprised if Alts keep falling and also Bitcoin moves down into the 6-6,5k area.

We had the 8k once before in July and moved back to 6k

Still not worth me moving my bitcoin’s out of cold storage for a few thousand dollars. If it goes to $10 then maybe.

I did it once in the beginning of 2018.

Moved my BTC to a new Trezor seed to claim some shitcoins. Wasn't that bad - got about 2% more BTC afterwars for some "moving around"

I really don't get it. Why someone with 10K bitcoins would dump them with 10% loss at 7400 when they could sold at 20 000? Who are these people? Playing with futures or just morons enjoying losing and making everybody sad. May be the silk road admin or some other criminals. And what will they do with the cash? Bury it in his yard, then gets arrested and hangs himself like the alpha bay admin. I curse these peoples with all the evil to them and their families! In Jesus name, amen! We, the honest hodlers will prevail and rejoice for ever!

Probably hoping it creates a panic sale & the price slumps to low $6000’s so he can buy them all back a lot cheaper.

Asshole!

I asked this question also several times:

The only answer I could find is that they are swing-traders.

They dump 1000 coins, drive the price down and hope to get others to dump as well, moving the price further down.

Then they buy at this lower price and influence other to do the same.

Why they don't just wait for 20k is another story ... they probably calculated it through that they can make more money this way.
