I am in a generous mood today.  I have decided that shitcoins are a good thing because they get people interested in crypto and eventually those people figure out the importance of decentralised, immutable ledgers (the smart ones anyway).  And that is enough.

I have always believed that is the case.


The speculative frenzy of alts has drawn in huge numbers of people looking for quick profit, but it has also pushed them to learn a bit about the tech.

As the BTC dominance increases, many will rotate back into BTC as a safe haven.

In the end , there will be far more BTC hodlers than if alts had never existed.

I suspect there will be more before this run is over. But it would be hard to surpass the last $7,4xx top.

Top at 6.8 or 7.4 has less meaning... The key is what happens on the next dip. Where is the low, and how well is it rejected ?

If the low comes in around 6k that suggests we are stuck in the same range. Above 6300 is good.  A bounce from there to 7k+ even better.

If below 5.8k, then a new bear leg is likely. Hunker down for another year of winter.

I have found the "Bitcoin Ticker Widget" app for MAC pretty useful for tracking the price in this slow market where I almost do no trading anymore and don't have bitcoinwisdom tab permanently opened. That way I can go on with my life and still check the price in a peek the same way I would almost unconsciously check time (it is displayed in the same bar).

It is available on the App store and it is just a status ticker app so it should be reasonably audited. DYOR.

Speaking of price trackers...does anyone know of a good list of the main exchanges for every country? Best I could find so far is https://coinpedia.org/exchange/ and a few sites that charge money to access their list.

No... In fact, I think the thing I am going to do is just put all my coin on 100x leverage and short. Put that away for a few weeks and don't even check up on it. I am sure this is a good strategy and I will be rich in a few weeks. No need for stop loss. Stop loss is for sissys.

I know in the joke video, the victim longed the top; however, I suspect a 100x short, attempting to "short the top" has a good chance of the end result being the same. Especially, implementing the above procedures.

There is no risk on using 100x leverage on a trade.... as soon as you have 80x the collateral to cover that specific trade and avoid being liquidated.... oh and you are longing, if you are shorting you can be rekt even in that case (although not probable in the short term).

Actually, with Bitmex fee structure, the odds are only ~ 5% against you at 100x if you are a maker on both open and close. If you are a taker on both the open and close, your odds are only approximately 15% against you. Hey, that's much better than Powerball or Megamillions.

Yeah I got that thing awhile ago. It works great on the I-watch too. You can configure it to show price in corner of the watch face.
During the great crash of 2018 whenever I was asked time,my answer was usually followed with
 “oh shit it dumped again...” then the dude would look at me all weird like.
Then I’d be like “oh sorry mate, nm...”
