According to this, one can go long at between now and whatever low next 24-48 hr would bring and expect a short term bounce to 6500-7000.

It is very hard to quickly turn around an aircraft carrier sailing at 30 knots.  Not impossible but very hard.

Yeah, I'm not really seeing any bounce happening for a while, the order book on the sell side was very thin a couple hours ago and nothing no bounce. Seems no one has any money or incentive to buy at this price.

people are selling to set aside for the tax man, and for xmas, and they DON'T like me want to work for anyone anymore after having a good run as a crypto business data hall or mining or whatever...thus

will have to burn coin as a hedge or work for someone else again....some of what is going on is that...paying off that data hall building as a hedge...setting a plan for $$$ for staying retired 3 years early

stuff like that is really also mucking this up..also FUD , the BCH wars where you toss $$$ around at a loss on BTC for ego, and of course the usual FUD that will be epic...

don't the forget the SEC is likely to tell all of us crypto types to go fish on an ETF from this mess...and mt gox  is still going to dump all that BTC in Feb/March of 2019

yeah...interesting times indeed

brad

mt gox coin burn / tax fire sale when? :-D weee

In perspective TERA was a genius. Hope she/he is doing well and has good health to enjoy life. Maybe he/she will come back soon and open a new long position as said.

tick tock tick tock tick tock
Better sell before your left holding worthless bags of imaginary money

what fun is that?

no matter how bad...... still can swing it for the next 30 months...if it goes tulips I have a side 401k I can pull on

of course, the walk of shame of believing in tulips at that point in time will be hard...people pointing and mocking me on the street

I imagine the 'hat' we all be wearing will be a big F for failure in our avatar spot

again...if BTC fails the bankers will win and have centralized controllable blockchain with the same bank fees but in their control at little or no cost

can you say 'trillionaires' in the next 10 years if that happens

(currently looking at minimalist lifestyle and tiny houses...being a hermit is looking good..silly bunch of naked primate/monkeys don't know crap...)

How is Bitcoin going to climb back up to its glory days? Unless we have some sort of MAJOR news about Bitcoin, I kind of don't see a second hype. Getting back to the top might take years without any hype.... I mean basically when it becomes almost unmineable, or we reach the cap then we will start to see a somewhat linear steady rise. We are losing the hype, people.... What do

to be fair, nothing made the price go up in 2015/16. It just kind of started happening, I remember not believing in it at the time, kept on thinking it would go back down.

That was a pathetic effort by the bears.

I think this is the bottom (for now) @ $3600

Closing all positions and exiting the market.

Bear party over for me.

Have fun.

The price rose always with huge news... I remember when Asia got heavily involved in Bitcoin. Ohohoo.

I see most everyone here is bearish.

So I need to ask, how many of you have basically hodl from the ATH till now.

I will start: I have basically hodl all the time and the little in comparison that I was selling I used to rebuy in the way down. Not a single $ withdraw back to my bank account, not now, neither in 2013/14. Of course I could easily withdraw the total I invested right now if I wanted to, obviously I am not underwater at all, but that's not the question.

I would like to get a better picture of what the average situation is in that regards.
