Am I the only one that has fears the price of Bitcoin would never even reach the last ATH? I mean, yes, I think it will, heck, I think it could happen as soon as in less than one year from now or, most probably, around the next halving but.... I know there is a non-negligible possibility of that not happening, ever.
What are you guys stance about that? Let's be honest here....
There are still too few who own bitcoin, including institutions, that it seems unlikely we've reached the saturation point. Also, it is nearly always the older generation who are skeptical and the younger who are enthusiastic. Dimon hates bitcoin, but his daughter buys it, for example. It's a trend that should be in our favour for at least another twenty years. The charts are well within the bounds of a normal deflation as well. We'd really have to crash hard to ruin the long-term picture. Man knows his jpegs

My GPU rigs I built before I heard about Butterfly labs made more profits. I would have probably 10x more BTC if they would have refunded me when I asked, and 100x or 1000x more if they'd shipped when they said they would. Never saw the attraction of mining. Always appeared like a race to the bottom where you were pitting yourself against giants. I guess that it had worked so well for hodlers in the past was the motivation to not outright buy?

when i started mining in 2011 it was easier to acquire btc by gpu mining than buying. as im a hardware guy who likes to tinker, i never really stopped except for a year or two around 2013-14. that was when asics really took hold. asics were pretty much a suckers game except for 1st batch folks (assuming they werent outright scammed). then around when eth mining with gpus became profitable i got back in. trading eth for btc of course. something about that soothing white noise from the fans and the tweaking that just gets me. and now i have squirrel acorn fpga gpu accelerators to (hopefully?) breath new life into my aging gpu rigs. plus an bcu1525 fpga on order that may or may not come anywhere near making roi, but will at least be fun to play with. for me, mining as a hobby is a lot safer than some of my other much more expensive hobbies. and some of those hobbies tend to cause death or other undesirable results when you screw up. so there is that advantage.

You haven't almost set your house on fire from a miner blowing flames out the grate, have you? Mining is fun, just be aware of the fire risk. And it generates heat for your home, great on those cold nights.

Aaaand under 4.2k again.
This time 3k is coming.
Why the fuck I bought from 4.5k while everybody was waiting for 3k to get in fuck :/ Tone Vays says 3k is most likely to happen and even 1.5k is on the list of possibilities now.
This is going to happen exactly like theymos predicted.
My average is just above 3k and they'll drive this shit to 1.5k just to force me to sell. (I won't)

Looks to me that all those artificial gains from 2016/2017 will be erased we're going back to 500-600 $

Agreed on the electrician. I like testing miners on a fire resistant surface myself

At some point big players decide that the price is too cheap to ignore & buy in big time. I don’t know what that price is but $500 - $600 is a retarded prediction.

If you claim the price is going back to levels before any manipulation occurred then lol. The last time there was anything remotely close to an aggregate market in bitcoin was when it was $200. Going from $200 to $400 was all enormous, insanely obvious Chinese manipulation on places like Huobi where you could easily tell the market was being moved by a single entity there. Then all the market rigging shifted over to Bitfinex after that point where you could easily tell a single entity on Bitfinex controls the entire worldwide price through fraud.

BCH has existed for about 1 year & has shown no bounce back from a crash previously. It’s artifically propped up by a couple of assholes. Completely different.

I just want to know at what price does the scam exchange Bitfinex finally burn. Or is everyone going to be sitting around trading bitcoin for 2 cents a piece while the Bitfinex price is $5 billion each but you can't arb it.

If there's any BTC price that would ruin you, then it might be a good idea to sell some.
