Millions of trapped hodlers that need someone to dump on.  Don't disappoint us, Jihan Wu.  Pump the price so they may dump on you.

No one also thinks this might spell months and months of bad news? We all now it's true, tethers printed out of thin air, propping up all kinds of prices. Tether and Bitfinex finally going belly up will cause some waves. It's a whale after all.

Crash it with the same Korea FUD

It's FUD? Genuine question.

Yes it’s FUD.  Follow the article links.  It cites The Information which cites Bloomberg.  It’s a circle of FUD.

Agreed.

Quote
The Justice Department and CFTC are coordinating their examinations, the people said.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-11-20/bitcoin-rigging-criminal-probe-is-said-to-focus-on-tie-to-tether

Who the f*ck are "the people?"  Cheesy

Furthermore,
Quote
Some market participants have had doubts about Bitfinex actually having USD backing up their claims. The U.S. regulator CFTC subpoenaed Bitfinex to found out more.
https://askbrokers.com/news/was-bitcoins-rise-all-due-to-price-manipulation-department-of-justice-investigating
Who are these market participants? What are their credentials? Lot's of weasel words if you ask me.

Edit: and here is the disclaimer in the Bloomberg article:
Quote
It couldn’t be determined whether government officials are solely investigating activity that occurred on Bitfinex or if exchange executives are suspected of illegal behavior. Neither the Justice Department nor the CFTC has accused anyone of wrongdoing, and authorities may ultimately conclude that nothing illicit occurred.

OK, never mind.  Roll Eyes

There was another whole thread picking the fuddy article apart.
Ages ago. Wonder why toknormal saw fit to post it just then.
If you've made it this far in the thread, you're probably wondering. "Ok Nomad, if there NO new news, NO commentary making it news, NO recent developments confirmed AND NO confirmation of anything being reported previously, why are they running the article ? "

55% deep cold storage.  35% multi-year swing trade.  10% margin trading.   Low leverage shorts until late Jan 2019 then stop all margin trading and start buying physical on dips.  Start buying low leverage longs in October 2019.

I noticed that when the article came out, I went back 3 times trying to make a coherent paragraph out of it.  Unfortunately we seem to have turned journalism over to millennial flunk outs.

OK, thanks. FUD it is.

The paper that is linked still looks interesting tho, but I lack the knowledge to really assess its credibility.

Because whether it's "fud" or not, having a private company in the Cayman Islands print blockchain tokens out of nothing, backed by nothing and using them to populate the bid side of the BTC/USD pairing across exchanges is about as scammy as you can get Wink

Met a "finance expert" today he said don't buy unless the price is showing steady growth for at least 2 weeks. I guess that's what most peeps are waiting for?

Ok people, I always pronounced "hodl" as hod-ul.  Now I see weirdos pronouncing it hoe-dul.  Do the Brits have to destroy everything they touch?
