Here is my wonderful prediction - the final denial of this in late Feb next year will be where the ultimate bottom hits.

Since the Winklevoss denial in March ish 2017 is what kicked the upwardness in properly that would be a fitting conclusion to the whole cycle.

Then it's boredomtown for a year or two.

Oh I seriously doubt the next few months will be boring...  but I would be OK with being wrong.

Difficult to know what December 2018 and thereafter is going to bring in terms of BTC price performance, but I am having some doubts that in the short-term shorting BTC is going to be nearly as lucrative as it was in either 2014 or 2018...   but what do I know?  

The medium to long term price is relatively easy to predict... only shorter term is difficult.

However, atm the price is in a very steady downtrend, so expect more of the same. The only interruption will be the odd sharp rally over the next few months, but the trend is still down.

Actually, I am ready to concede about the bear market characterization of the current BTC market.    

Did the whole 20k to 4K thing not quite make its mark ?

it's a retrospective assessment thing.  I don't tend to make any kind of solid BTC predictions, but part of my point, here, is that when BTC prices were staying above $6k, it seemed too early to concede that BTC was in a bearmarket....   Now, it does NO longer seem too early to concede such assessment, anymore.

o.k... ETH going to $17 rather than $50.  Maybe o.k. for bitcoin long term, but short term aren't they all crashing together.

In other words, even if some of the alts and shitcoins are crashing more than bitcoin, aren't they bringing bitcoin down with them?

Yeah no, nobody try this. Scariest part about electricity isn't the internal burns you might get, but rather that even a tiny current, if it passes through your heart, can mess with the electrical signals that tell it to keep pumping....
