There are many large holders from early years to whom $1000 per BTC represents a huge price.

They may have been confident before, but they might be inclined to sell 100,000's of BTC to avoid even a small chance of losing everything. That could be many billions of dollars that someone has to cough up.

There were huge sales at around $200 in 2015, and there is plenty more where that came from.

Balance will eventually be found, but the bottom is not yet predictable.

That's what they said when $1000 was approaching again in 2016. You may have noticed it carried on a little further upward.

The Gox creditors will be far less predictable. If old schoolers are still here then most will know what's what. They can get rid of their SV in the meantime though.

In fact they only pretend there is war between ver/wu and csw. This is a combination to trick as many bitcoin hodlers as possible to buy svcash first and then abccash. Both parties ver/wu + csw are now selling their last bitcoins and buying svcash. Expect ferocious dump when a lot of monkeys get on the svcash tree. This dump will pump abccash. Not a bad idea at all. Bitcoin was too stable for very prolonged period. Market needs volatility. Without volatility exchanges are dying. So, ver, wu and csw decided to produce the desired effect and give us this little show. Bitmain are generally bankrupted and have nothing to lose. Difficult to know what December 2018 and thereafter is going to bring in terms of BTC price performance, but I am having some doubts that in the short-term shorting BTC is going to be nearly as lucrative as it was in either 2014 or 2018...   but what do I know?  

The medium to long term price is relatively easy to predict... only shorter term is difficult.

However, atm the price is in a very steady downtrend, so expect more of the same. The only interruption will be the odd sharp rally over the next few months, but the trend is still down.

Actually, I am ready to concede about the bear market characterization of the current BTC market.    

If even JJG is capitulating, we might be near already.

Does not mean that I am "capitulating" on anything beyond labelling this dumb ass less than preferable situation that we us BTC HODLers and accumulators are in (at this time).
