That's a good point. Though I suspect behind the scenes where the real practical regulatory discussions are taking place by analysts that bitcoin is still front and center.
Good point. There was an old cartoon about how would you like you cryptocurrency scare, terrorism or paedophilia flavored? I guess we can add facebook (or 'big tech'* in general) to the options now. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fvlgn5724tvdz.jpg%3Fwidth%3D640%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D35e291d7196f392960120b6854a7315e55b8e276&t=663&c=tiA6NetgUZdMnw) *To be clear, there's a lot about big tech that's a problem but using it for scaremongering is a nasty tactic. Hey Richy - welcome back. Good to see a real OG like you back in the WO. Stick around, eh?

Meh.
This is fine.
Unpleasant, for sure... but still fine.
This needs to turn fairly soon though. A drop to high 6000s, sure; a drop below 6500, hmm, not so good.

Offline payments for Lightning Network.
I thought we decided long ago that we didn't much care for custodial solutions? Anyone who uses a 3rd party wallet for anything is using a custodial solution. If you want to use bitcoin for micropayments, crossing paths with a "custodial solution" (or in this instance, more accurately a LN node) is an inevitability. The blockchain is too big for everyone to walk around with their own full nodes all the time. For everything else, there's SPV. (note: not a custodial solution)

I thought we decided long ago that we didn't much care for custodial solutions? As I understand this is something more like a payment with a terrible lag on one of the intermediate hop, delaying final hop until destination node is online. Is that a this a definition of custodial? There are triggers for “failed” payments I guess. I don’t know, but we discussed it here. And as you correctly surmised right there: "It's not clear (to me, at least) if this solution is fully trustless."

First of all i would like to say that we can be happy and we can't complain. You remember this chart? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182395.msg52377811#msg52377811 So we had this chart here and if you are a trader you could sold right at the local top 11k, where we announced our first major resistance. So if you are a trader you regret nothing! If you are a holder you hold through your good and a bad times and regret nothing! I'm a part trader but mostly hodler. I sold some at this top and today i announce that i bought the first dolar cost average at 7400 usd which is not bad after 11.000 sell. If it drops more i buy more. I don't like to be a bearish too much and don't want to talk much about that. Yes, we are currently bellow the weekly 21 EMA and 20 MA which is kinda bearish but many traders here wanted to get another buy opportunity, to buy cheaper at 8k. So you got even 7300. So your wish came true. I know you don't like CME chart but there was / is a 7200 usd gap and gaps almost always fill.

Do you even see the support of BTC before 3K level? Do you have any proof for your 3k prediction? This dump was already predicted before and needed for the bounce back. Green dildo will come soon before december. --- Are you shorting this dump?

For those in need :
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

And what should we expect from this? Parabolic breaks almost always lead to 1) Strong retracements back (~85% - 60% if I recall, don't have the stats in front of me atm) 2) Macro trend reversals (think of bitcoin run ups and what happens, like after btc hit $20k) Yeah, but we have already had our 85% correction down to $3,122. Remember December 2018? We are getting another 60% to 85% correction from the $13,880? That makes hardly any sense. Now if you were talking about a 60% to 85% correction from some kind of new ATH or something like that, then you might be starting to make some senses. Perhaps? In other words, the impression that I am getting is that you are one of those loonies or shills who are spreading disingenuous pie in the sky thinking rather than attempting to grapple with on-the-ground BTC price dynamic realities. Lol bless your little heart.... you were so quick to lash out, you didn't read the chart right. It's inverted. The parabola I'm showing is from ~13.8k to ~7.8k. I'm suggesting the downtrend is about to macro reverse or at least "pull back" ~60 to 80%. Personally, I'm guessing it's a macro reversal. We need to start slow grinding up to the previous ATH over the next ~6 months or history won't repeat itself like the world is expecting. Aren't you so precious for dealing in puzzles? NOT ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

I used to be a permabull and I still am, but I need some fellow holder to reassure me.
I didn't struggle too much when btc was 3k-ish, because i was only waiting for the final capitulation, which i tought finally happened when we jumped to 14k and then, after correction, we were going sideways10k-ish.
From here, I thought, it can only go up.
But now we are experiencing a significant further correction, and today's red dildo is really tought for me, not financially but emotionally.
Worst than all, during the last year or so I saw too little development: lighting network is cool and I even used it with my android, but there are almost no merchants. And we still dosen't have an open market or a p2p exchanger. And I am really afraid that if we dosen't manage to get a working ecosystem BEFORE regulation, regulation will kill most of the coming projects.
Today I need someone to hodl my hand and say that everything is still ok.
i would love to tell you its ok. but i cant. because its bitcoin, and it does whatever it wants. all you do is hang on and admire its total disregard for charts, technical analysis, governments, forks and pretty much anything else.

Well TA worked for the last few months on BTC , much to many peoples surprise. The failure at 13500 was an very obvious opening of a long bear phase. No bottom has been formed yet, so its still in a downtrend... ..unless you think that the developments in quantum computing are weighing on price, I would say it's a pure technical move. You are correct that TA is useless, unless you are a medium term trader.

A bitcoins make a strong head move from here to 10,000 US dollar by coming end of this October in the day of Halloween. Day of Halloween are important for BTC
So you say you are realistic. But you said 2 days ago for btc to go to 10k by 31th October and now you call 3k to happen any time. I would say you change your mood very fast and with a drastical change. @SuperTA brother no chance dumping called 3k what you see 3k?
