When recessions/depressions hit small, rural towns, the people just suffer quietly...but not much else changes on the outside.

When recessions/depressions hit large metro cities, all hell breaks loose into Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome style lawless shit.

This is why they couldn't pay me enough to live in metro cities like LA, NYC, or Chicago. Fucking concrete jungles with no beauty, just filth and crime always simmering beneath the surface.

I was reading some stuff about it a week ago by some blogger who has proudly lived in NY for 30+ years and he acting like it is the end of the world and when he moves out NY will never again return to normal, but deteriorate completely and become a shithole till the end of the time...

It looks a bit nasty when you watch it on Youtube, but from my point of view it is far from the truth and situation is not that dramatic, plus it won't remain like that, it is temporary.

Same thing I saw with LA. There was a period when Youtube was "flooded" with videos of downtown LA like it's a beginning of new plague pandemic. It was presented like a sea of homeless people in the downtown, infestations of rats in numbers never seen and similar.

It was not that far from the truth, but it was not nearly as dramatic as presented. Prognosis was the end of LA in a few years. LA is still there and there is no plague. Lots of people moved out, mainly cost of living issues, but lots of people moved in too.

Same thing will be with NY, lots of dust over some changes that were caused by again changes

You are absolutely right its just not happening in USA its also happening in many other countries I am also facing some serious problems here like this but really cannot do any thing now just feeling to go back some small town or city where I have some better environement and better stuff really fed up with these big cities and crimes.

A kind of attention-mongering pumpening and dumpening - similar to what McAfee does.. I cannot say that I am comfortable with such tactics that border on scamming people, even if they make the whole matter seem like a kind of fun lil game.

I found that article to be coming at the late bloomer adoption matter from a quite interesting perspective, too.

Surely, some people just get bitcoin quite early on, and maybe some of us just happen to be in the right kind of place that we just start to hedge our bets in bitcoin and build and wait and the whole matter kind of just seems to be working out financially for us.

There are a lot of folks who come into bitcoin, but they get a bit distracted by shitcoins for a while, and then they kind of come around to bitcoin, so I suppose that is a second kind of category that still ends up getting into bitcoin and profiting from it.

We are so early, that a lot of these types are still evolving, and they might get into bitcoin and out and back in again, and surely value gravitation could take a decently long amount of time, because many of the temptations of the shitcoins can be quit provocative, too, and some of those guys are making a lot of money, too.. so that can also distract from the value gravitation into bitcoin.. causing the whole process and progress into bitcoin to take decades.. generations, even.

We are still early, boyzzzzzzzz  (and girl).

In his rant/emotion he keeps on mixing up Bitcoin and some recent shitcoin. Just because he has a big mouth and a bunch of followers, it does not make him an expert. He goes through a phase as almost every other newbie (unless you know about the characteristics of sound money, that is why I have faith in people holding gold entering one day) in this space: feeling greedy and randomly buying all kinds of coins because quickly wanting more dollars.

Calls himself a stock market expert. Easy when it goes up, until it doesn’t one day. He has no clue and does not care what kind of company he buys, just wanting more dollars. It is a reflection of the current greed and seemingly unlimited number of dollars needing to go somewhere. The music will stop one day.
