That Portnoy video. What a newb. Does he really expect the stock market to just keep going up forever? Man, I wouldn't wish I'll on anybody but I got to say that I am looking forward to the day he gets mindrusted good and proper. He will not only miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime (Bitcoin) but is going to get royally rekt when the stock market comes crashing down around him.
I looked up his Twitter account today, and now I totally get it. He's a plant. A shill for the Wall Street stonk day tarders. This was all just a stunt for him to try and convince Bitcoiners to leave crypto and get into stonks. Here's a video of him, notice him buddying up with ol' Jim Cramer: https://twitter.com/stoolpresidente/status/1296952930063601666And here's another photo of him with ol' Jim Cramer: https://twitter.com/jimcramer/status/1296966764799164416Anyone remember how ol' Jim Cramer feels about Bitcoin? Remember this from 2014? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kEySHOd4JUThe joke's on Dave though, from the looks of his twitter stream it didn't work. https://twitter.com/stoolpresidente/status/1297222550922108929Seriously, those guys can fk off.

I thought US people didn't like coins, how can there be a shortage ? Is it that with the economy faltering people keep the change and maybe make a piggy bank just in case ? A colleague of mine is saving like that, he keeps all the 2€ coins (worth about 2,5$) he gets his hands on until he has a big stash. Elon is launching rockets if you will, but not Tesla. Of course SpaceX is a private company so you can't pump it. I think Tesla is a fine company doing fine products, and has brought innovation to the table, however the valuation doesn't make sense. Even if other car manufacturers were caught sleeping, they won't sleep forever, and the majority of people on the planet won't be driving Teslas, ever. The world isn't the USSR.

https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/1274443124375523329 June 20th 2020 Honestly I think we emphasize flashy defi things that give you fancy high interest rates way too much. Interest rates significantly higher than what you can get in traditional finance are inherently either temporary arbitrage opportunities or come with unstated risks attached. A rare flash of insight or giving himself an out? Maybe both. Covering his ass I'd say

[...] Nobody in charge there gives a single solitary fuck about bitcoin.
Not sure about that, would be enormously shortsighted considering the growth potential Bitcoin has. On the other hand, the western world initially didn’t care much about a few hundred corona infections somewhere in China either. Exponential growth is hard to grasp but we can’t be naive either. Bitcoin is a big threat for those with fiat powers.

Shit is getting out of hand. Was just about to post this.
It's a chain swap as JL0 pointed out, so no new tether were effectively minted. They're just rearranging their furniture deck chairs. ^^^ FTFY What a pessimistic picnic bear... Did not realize that you are a Tether FUDster, too. The picnic bear wears many hats!!!!!!!! You're kidding, right? I mean, you're the guy that took a Bitfinex bath, are you not? And one who kept declaring that Tether's claim of 1:1 with actual USD in the bank was (I hate to say it) good as gold, right up until the point they admitted it was all a sham. No?

Payment App Strike Adds Cashback Feature for Lightning Payments.Bitcoin startup Zap is launching a cash back option for users of its Lightning payment app Strike. The feature called “Cashback by Strike” allows users to earn money back on Strike when they make payments via the Lightning Network.
Strike is a platform created by Zap that enables Lightning payments from a user's bank account or a debit card. It is built upon Olympus, a Lightning-enabled fiat on-ramp developed by Zap.
Cashback now gives Strike users between 5% and 15% back every time they make a payment via Lightning through designated merchants.

A nice, technical article lead a researcher to an interesting conclusion: Researcher Re-mines Satoshi's Bitcoin Blocks To Discover His SecretsSatoshi Nakamoto used a single PC to mine 1.1M Bitcoin Sergio Dermain Lerner, a researcher known for looking at the mining patterns of the original Bitcoin (BTC) miner, has turned his attention on the Bitcoin blocks mined by Satoshi Nakamoto.
Now in the last paragraph you can read the most interesting passage: If Lerner's conclusions are correct that would lend more credence to the hypothesis that Satoshi Nakamoto was a single person and not a team. This would also put another nail into Craig Wright's claims of being a Bitcoin creator as he has indicated numerous times that he used dozens of computers to mine the early blocks.
Not that we really needed ANOTHER confirmation of that.
