On the 4th December 2018 Bob sent me 0.00077868 BTC to buy a drink . It's now worth £32 THANK YOU BOB On 17th January 2020 LFC_Bitcoin sent me 0.00587 BTC (then $50) as prize money for winning his game. It's now worth $324. Thank you LFC. Please leave me out of this “past-btc related issues” Sorry Dude, was not meant to offend anyone, just to share the happiness and illustrate Bitcoin's success... Apologies if it was taken the wrong way. I'm sure LFC has way more than 0.00587 BTC and I'm sure he's very happy too, that his game prize money has grown so much. Soon, with these "petty" amounts, one will be able to buy quite a lot of stuff. That's 587k sats we're talking about. I will not be spending it any time soon, I will keep it as an indicator of Bitcoin price appreciation, and to have a good story to tell nocoiner (and coiner) friends about Bitcoin's success.

It's either the top of a Bart, or the foot of the 6-digit mountain. These can be any length. IOW, roll a dice. Regardless, we know where it's going long-term, and that's UP. Isn't life great?

Looking at the mempool you can see that it is spiking again as Bitcoiners rush their BTC onto exchanges to take profits over $50K. Once this mempool backlog is worked through and those coins have their chance to find new owners on exchanges we can start moving upward again. Keep your eye on the mempool and get ready for the next leg up. https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight

There are at least 4 reasons we should feel optimistic about the price in Q4 2021. First, during the bull runs Q4 has always been strong with new ATH's. Second, the last weeks increase is not due to some buy the rumour sell the news kinda thing. I think it is obvious that the reason is mainly the supply shock caused by the widespread hodler strategy both from retail and institutional investors. Third, the expectations for 100K, PlanB, etc. create a self-fulfilling prophecy, just like Bitcoin was programmed in the beginning by Satoshi. And last, but not least, returning to the median price of 54-55K (which is the last ATH-11%) after the panic sell, which has lead to 55% loss from the last ATH, is reassuring for the new generation of hodlers to keep hodling. Those who panic sold because it was their first crash now slowly begin to realize their mistake and some of them will re-enter at much higher prices.
