It really feels as if the market wants to test/break the trendline.
All this resistance up to 600 and 620, but this price action is being stubborn. It really feels like we are one big buy from shorts running to cover and getting a powerful move to test 620. The charts have not felt impending bullish to me in months now, although I will admit this is more of a gut feeling than anything.
Personally I would love for us to test $400 again as I have a lot of fresh fiat coming to the markets soon. But I am not sure this train is going to wait for that.
We might be lucky to see $540 again.
It is very nice to understand where the price is going from there in the short term I have change my mind too many times to make a new prediction

85% of the volume from these walls is from Bitstamp and they´re (most) definitely not fake. A few people bought into the 500 BTC asks around 587, and not only they didn´t they vanish, quite the opposite happened; they got refilled everytime someone took a bite.

btw, has everyone seen this already? http://politiken.dk/oekonomi/dkoekonomi/ECE2244816/bitcoin-gevinster-kan-stikkes-direkte-i-lommen/After seeing the tax treatment the IRS put out recently, I'd move to Denmark in a second, if I didn't think the whole country is going to sink into the ocean, lol. This would be the sensible stance for Canada (and every country really) to take, but sadly, I get the feeling that Heir Harper will follow the US precedent, as always. :edit: Whoa, wait a sec, Greenland would be under the same law, right? Greenland can't be much worse than Canada, and after the glacier melts, there should be lots of cheap land for sale... hmmmmmm

Bitcoin is kinda done here in the U.S. Can't use it. No reason to hold it. The revolution, she is caput. Hopefully other countries will take up the torch.

To be more precise, last few weeks bitfinex sell side was larger in scale than buy side, this is no longer the case. From 3 days ago:

Is what we are witnessing a Bitcoin style bailout... it looks kind of well organized? Is now the time to show support and buy BC to assist those who are keeping things "on track" or leave it to those who have made huge profits from BC, and who have too much at stake to let Bitcoin drop one more time? I am a newbie, so please bear with me if my interpretation is completely wrong.

You know, I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I find it increasingly hard to believe that all these VCs who are pouring tens (hundreds) of millions into bitcoin related companies while keeping this public persona that they haven't really invested in the currency itself, a little hard to believe. These are very smart people. Very smart people who have admitted that to be a global utilitarian technology, bitcoin needs a MUCH higher market cap for numerous reasons. So, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that A) these VCs are lying about how much bitcoin they own and B) they have an aligned self interest to see the price much higher. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude that part (all) of the reason they are going to their wall street compadres is that the fastest way from point A to point B is a straight line. So, yes, I do think there is a wealthy interest aligned now that does not want to see the price of bitcoin threatened to the point where it would send us into too long of a bear market.
