The number of public companies holding #Bitcoin has surged 139% since 2023, yet adoption remains below 1%.

We’re still in the first chapter of corporate adoption.

Elon: Bitcoin uses too much energy
Also Elon: We're going to develop AI that draws people with 30 fingers that's going to double our energy requirements.

... while being trained with your data for free. Whatever's on the Internet is up for grabs, for free, right?

No hunting intended. I saved the pic from this forum many years ago. Also, it was a metaphor of my life for long time.

So I get an email from coinbase.

They wanted proof I can afford to have an account with them.

I sent them bank statements that show I have over 40,000 a year in income and proof of funding they do not accept them.

So I am going to lose them as an exchange. Since I am not going to show more of my income and proof of funding than the 40,000 I show them for last year.

So I am USA based I have a kraken and I have Binance usa.

I simply do not understand the rejection of the documents. I have been with coinbase for more than 10 years.

I don't get it: what kind of income statement is necessary, and why? You do settle all trades with funds deposited (e.g. USD when you buy btc, btc when you sell for fiat). Is that right? If you don't use credit from them, I wonder why they need to check on your financial well-being.

This seems weird. It was definitely from Coinbase? They've done shady things before. I think they're trying to work out how to further monetize their customer base.

Yep I think its fucking nuts on their part.

Look If I had 300,000 on the account and 40,000 yearly income okay how did you do that.

Oh I could say I hodl.

I sent my joint bank account statements  with my wife.

They show 2500 usd in pension per month  and 20,000 in transfers from my wife. Which is around 50k last year.

Which is more than enough to justify 10k cash and 6k in coins.

It is legit I went on website to check. I did the bolded info by sending 3 months worth of bank statements.

As for 1)

I do not have an employer so I did not do it.

I am not sending my 300 page tax return to them to show my income from 2023 ( did not do 2024 yet)

I sent them undoctored full bank statements for 3 months.

Jan 1-31 2025 showed   8,560  in deposits
Dec 1-31 2024 showed 14,351 in deposits
Nov 1-30 2024 showed 15,472 in deposits

that is 37k +  for 3 months.

it meets all of bullet 2 and 3

bullet 1 is a no go as I do not have an employer

it clearly shows the federal pension checks and transfers from my wife.

They are simply asking for far too much info for a coinbase account that rarely exceeds 20k in value.

I pulled most all of the coins out of the account once this came.

I also pulled the cash out.

so the 16k that was in it is now about 300 dollars.

Wow you've seen and  touch all the generations of Computers right from Vacuum  tube[First generation] ~ Artificial Intelligence[fifth generation]..

Remember these?

Handy for grocery shopping when you could feed a family of seven for about $20 per week.
_____

My first "computer" looked like this:

I was so excited as I waited for it to arrive via mail order. Bought it from an ad in the back of a magazine.

Pulling up on the bar at the top cleared it back to zero.
_____

How we've progressed in just a few short decades.

I somehow inadvertently inserted myself into this wager, out of frustration, mostly... However, i am more than happy to be the third adjudicator in this and also act as a third reminder of such wager! Rules are crystal clear, that i am sure i will not be needed.

Good Luck to you both!
