I believe you've seen this meme countless times already. I don't have any issue with the government banning Bitcoin in my country as long as they don't take action against Bitcoin users. One of my neighboring countries has legalized cryptocurrencies and imposed a 30% income tax, which I feel is excessive. For instance, if I make a profit of a thousand dollars, I would have to pay them $300 for nothing.
That's capital gain tax, not income tax, or am i completely wrong? |

Very early on, they managed to crash BTC price to one cent (down ~99%) and later in 2013 they did it again (down 83%) from $260 down to about $50. Aside from those, I would say the "pandemic" (~50+%) then Xi Jinping and his Bitcoin ban (~50%). I would argue that Sam Bankman-Fried telling Caroline Ellison to keep selling BTC if its price broke $20k (using customer funds which they did not have the right to use) had a massive cooling effect but I can't put an actual percentage on it. Not only did it suppress the price, but i believe it considerably lowered the eventual ATH from what we should have seen in that particular cycle. None of us should be eating Ramen today but for those bastards at FTX, imo. I doubt we'll ever know the full effect of FTX on Bitcoin. I don't see how Trump even qualifies as a Bitcoin cooler. His policies advocate for greater adoption and fewer restrictions on trading for fiat. He just legitimized BTC use for gov't in the USA. Do you really believe this? Do you have anything to back it up? Are you eating too many low quality carbohydrates?  |

Yep. If anything, it looks like it was over-exuberance. Once the TDS takes hold, it's hard to shake though. Some will try to hide it by both-sidesing but it's hard to hide. |

I thought we use Percentage rather than value. Bitcoin has to fall to $54.5K to compete with 2021 fall. ATH may not have happened in Trump tenure But he was the catalyst Besides we still have 3+ years to go for a New ATH. |
