This buying is very unusual. Someone or a group of people have been consistently and regularly buying for the past 4 hours now. 555.9 on Stamp might be the turning point.

Nobody cares about merchant adoption anymore. That's all priced in. The general public is now thinking, "so why exactly do I need to buy bitcoin?" These are the same people who don't mind that the NSA is spying on them, because "as long as you're not doing anything bad you have nothing to worry about."
They've been watching the price tank all year, so there's no compelling reason for them to invest. Now, all we have is "old money" trading hands. Things are looking bad, guys.
Agreed. Unlike previous years the public doesn't want to invest anymore because they think Bitcoin will go up. All they see is previous buyers losing money. What we have here is: No new buyers. No amount of good news will make the price go up. Any slightly bad news will cause a crash. No increased user adoption. Lots of people getting out. This was gonna be the year of Bitcoin. It simply failed. It won't magically go up again. There is no reason why it would. To buy, or not to buy: that is the question.
Obviously we will go up from here. There was quite some selling going on but the price simply doesn't want to go lower. So up is the way we go! smart money |

Lol, shes always calling for going down but whenever we go up she just happened to change positions at the pivotal moment. I dont see people congratulating the perma bulls when we go up !  |

If you'd bother to actually read the article, you'd see that it's precisely arbitrage that is a major factor why a system consisting of unbanked ATMs would be a superior pricing mechanism.
Yeah, seems I scrolled past that section, sorry. "TL;DR"  I just had to quote this as a cruel reminder of futility... But I have to agree with Erin Eris, that ATM article was excellent and the idea should be put to experiment as soon as possible. Let's crowdfund this? I pledge 23 MILLION Satoshi to the cause more if it gains traction. Can we find people who can build this? I am also still interested in the sponsoring of a Jovial Organization Representing Generous Erisians which would aim to distribute free bits among students. There has been one such proposal to do this at a certain Brazilian school... |

I remember her mentioning it still after we shot up from 330, that she thought that recovery was to quick to be the lead off to the moon. However perma bulls get rewarded by having stashes lol Tera was a bear until we broke up through $460 or so and since then he switched to bull and bought back in. His plan was to just go long term with his coins and leave the entire daytrading business behind because it was sucking too much time and energy away. He couldn't stay away for long however and came back showing his short term analysis in here. I don't think he was either particularly bullish or bearish although he had a tendency towards showing a bearish perspective in here, maybe because he wanted to form a counterweight to the abundance of irrational bulls on this forum. Anyway I believe he is still long with his $460 coins and is spending his time on more valuable matters now. I'm sure he will be back when we either revisit the 400s or see 4-digits again. |
