Big Step! Just need the user adoption to go up at the same rate as merchant adoption is! Giant step! Now we need somebody like Target to say they don't want you to have to give up sensitive info for ease of payment and they don't want to have to store it. Then phase out credit cards and offer a 10% discount to people who use bitcoin. From reading about how retailers that have started accepting bitcoin love it, I think something like this could happen soon. When it does happen I believe the price spikes for months! IMHO

Big Step! Could you elaborate on the importance? People not located in the US don't exactly get what they do and what this may mean for Bitcoin, I guess. Is this rise back really a reaction on those news. I guess no one knows.

On Bitstamp the bid sum / ask sum ratio stays around 400$, compared with 700$ a month ago. Just some minor FUD can trigger capitulation. The bulls need a miracle to avoid it.
I noticed as well. Really admirable how the price is still holding in the high 500s in the face of this ask pressure. By the way, the 2% divergence between Western and Chinese exchanges is being resolved by the Western ones following. Seems that China still has more influence than I thought? Is Jorge right after all? I agree, crash into 400's or even lower is probable scenario. On the other side I can't bring myself to short as another probable scenario is, that there are very creative entities, interested in let the market looking weak. You dont have a clue what are you talking about, do you?

Wow... Okay, that indeed does sound great! So they are some kind of FIAT-BitPay, so to say? By teaming up with a Bitcoin-to-FIAT service provider, they basically broaden their services to Bitcoin, right?

I guess no one knows. This is a huge company providing electronic payment solutions for third parties and now they include bitcoin as a payment solution. Meaning all their merchants, Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), financial institutions, government agencies and multi-national corporations, who use their service can now also opt to use bitcoin. ;D “This partnership with Global Payments allows ecommerce and retail merchants to easily accept bitcoin payments,” Global Payments Inc. is one of the largest worldwide providers of payment solutions for merchants, value added resellers, enterprise software providers, financial institutions, government agencies, multi-national corporations and independent sales organizations located throughout North America, South America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_PaymentsGreat news, indeed. But I caution against the idea that this will be the catalyst of the next price surge. People ("bears" as you like to call them) have pointed out before that expanding payment options is probably going to add selling pressure at first. I agree with that. What they forget of course is that each btc payment option also signifies another step to global acceptance and legitimacy of btc, so it is mid to long term extremely bullish. The "bears" like to leave that part out, though :D

Wow! So I will be able to use bitcoin to pay my credit card bill? And Circle can be used to create credit card bills. The ecosystem is now complete. And so the debt cycle begins.

Bitcoin is moving up!

Man I would be so happy if Target came out and supported Bitcoin after they had that major hack this year. It makes sense and could get them many customers who were worried about security while shopping with Target. They could restore confidence and up sales with a move like that.

The "bears" like to leave that part out, though I'm curious to see how this unfolds. My behavior is probably atypical. I've spent fiat supporting company's that accept BTC. I couldn't bring my self to spend more than $300 in Bitcoin while I'm buying the Bitcoin dips.

As I understand, you can now send bitcoins to BitPay, Bitpay will sell them and send dollars to GlobalPay, and GlobalPay will send the apprpriate national currency to merchants overseas. For their usual fees, I presume. isn't that so?

Why even bother buying? The sellers will take us back to 580 guaranteed. Just a waste of money at this point to buy anything above that price.
