Talking of alts.
You might want to look at Golem, it is a ethereum token but the idea is to build a super computer network that anyone can use. The final product is about 4 years out but if it takes off down the line could easily end up being a millionaire. I joined the alpha testing on the slack and the proof of concept does work. Whats not awesome is the team holds 18% of the coins and that seems a bit scammy, considering theres no reason for that when they raised 7 million in the pre-sale.
All alts are suffering pretty hard right now with bitcoin going all crazy. Did china unlock their funds or something?
Make sure you are in both camps. Btc should move close to 1500 usd I am currently 30%-40% BTC, 20% ETH and 50%-40% to cash. All my rigs are mining ZEC at NH getting back BTC. All my S9 and A7 BTC farms are doing PPS+ at Antpool and VIABTC. I think there is a big movement of ETH and DCR back to BTC. Made money on XRP frenzy but I think I sold too early, ohhh well..... there is no such thing as a bad profit. Do you support BU by mining at those two pools? Honestly at this rate, if the core team doesn't fixed the mess soon, I wouldn't blame the BU supporters for pushing forward with this fork on behalf of the mining community. Sad to see BTC coming to this stage - on the other hand, BTC post fork if any, will be tried and tested even more.... hopefully a stronger BTC. Segwit vs BU..... I had a change in perspective after listening to Andreas Antonopolous talk recently. Decide for yourself... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Etyjc1JdmFUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlJG4OHdJzsPhil - the video links of the recent talk as above - several links in parts but this one above goes straight into the fork issue. Watched first link. I get that if he does what he wants it will not be BTC it will be a new beast. Not sure that is a good idea. Seems very risky to alter fundamentals of BTC that much. Simple solution was to go from 1mb to 2mb at the ½ ing last July buying time to allow for growth of industry. That ship sailed. Coins have gone up a bit after watching it I am selling more coins and moving to cash. And done 1 less coin sold it for 1115 after fees.

You don’t have to select a side, to be honest with you I just know the main issue and both sides solution to the problem. I don’t do anything about it, I don’t advocate anyone, I just do my job. If you do not have a huge mining power than I don’t think you need to select a side. As a miner, do what you want and get your Money. Rest is upto people who debate it. That is me tough, anyone can do whatever they want, that is the beauty of btc.

Big in Japan.... https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-accepted-260000-stores-summer/After Japan banks getting into Ripple (XRP) blockchain project recently.... These 2 big news alone will IMHO, push BTC to 1500$ in no time. Guys, get ready and prepare to time your coin sell at potentially higher return. My rigs will remain at Nicehash and collect BTC upfront. With exception of ETH, I think its better now to mine sell hash ZEC or XMR directly at NH marketplace and get BTC directly.

@phil.... congrats on the 1080!
Try EWBF or Excavator.... amazing sols, some can get 550-600sols
Unconfirmed news just in.... LTC just passed 70% segwit... looks like more miners with be online soon.

Using EWBF 3.3b looking for cool running and max hash to watt not max hash. I can get 480-520h with cool temps and 60% fan setting. nice small card. I have 2 1080ti's one on fri one on sat this 3 card rig will be running like a 6 or 7 card rx 480 8gb rig. Since all my gear is paid off with the exception of the two 1080ti's and one 1080 I face some easy decisions for a change. I just need zec to hang in there for 40 days. And then all my nvidia are paid off.

Yes, a buddy of mine who is a NVIDIA fanboy, has 4 x 1080 rig and the total sols is more than the Panda B1. If you can find cheap 1080s, 4 x 1080 maybe same as 7 or 8 x 480s But.... 1080s consume less energy? Have you rated the power and amps yet? Btw, there is a 1080Ti (which is a twin 1080 fused on a single card)... maybe the Biostar GT7 can house 2 x 1080Tis with good spacing (slots 0 and 2)... that would be a perfect ZEC rig.

LTC went from $4 to almost $10 as soon as LTC got poised for segwit activation and btc went down when BU was gaining fast. Plus, stringing 1mb to 2 to 4 to 8 sounds too simple of a solution in a long run. RE 1080. 40days? maybe if you use coupons? I get 5 mo before electricity. I am actually thinking of buying at least as much zec as i mine. In any case, maybe i should also go for a couple of 1070 or 1080, depending on how upcoming RX 500 will look like in eth and zec.

Ore miners for ltc or the ltc moving to other alts? Those Bitmain L3 LTC ASICs will be going off the shelf real fast soon.... LTC is all ASICs mining ... I don't think GPUs will have a chance. My group has 6 x A4 Innosilicon pointed at Nicehash and it's currently paying close to 0.1 BTC per day. L3 is cheaper and use less watts. @Phil, can you test 2 x 1080ti on the Biostar Z170-GT7, and see the powerdraw and amps? If a 2x1080ti rig is around 1000watts and less than 10amps, I can easily put 2 rigs per 20amp circuit. @Biodom, reading from ZEC thread, seems NVIDIA cards very good for ZEC but not so for ETH and others. However, my NVIDIA buddy was saying that he can also get fantastic results for cgminer/DCR on the 1080s. Other than those reasons, I think if ZEC can stay on at this price levels in 2017..... we should be be at ROI quickly (at least quicker than those damn S9s)

I had some spare BTCs, not a lot, about 0.25 and ... had a strange hunch.... and bought Golem at Poloniex after reading your post. It's currently now valued 0.3868. Thanks for the tips Tmdz.

LBRY, try cgminer.... a number of cgminer forks out there for NVIDIA. If you download the Nicehash Windows miner, go the the bin folder.... there's all the sgminer, cgminer versions for every algo you can think off.

And I don't understand how you would be able to ROI in 40 days every thing is paid for except the 3 nvidia cards the cards add to 1660 usd as I had a lot of ebucks and other credits. all my cards are earning over 50 a day 50 x 40 = 2000. I am looking at all gpu rigs i.e. 18 other cards doing 5200 h and 3 nvidia doing 1700 h so 6900h and 1660 in the hole I get out in 40 days. yeah you can say but phil you were at 5200h with 0 debt just count the new 1700h and the 1660 debt. by that count it is more then 40 days. Since I sell cards often once I roi. My accounting is different. in 40 days every card is paid off. 18 rx 480 8gb's 2 nvidia 1080 ti 1 nvidia 1080 all paid off leaving me able to sell my cards at low prices since it will be all profit. This is how I sell used cards cheaply. Come may 15th I can sell at bargain prices. If I sell the rx 480's at 175 each that = 175 x 18 or 3150 profit. Still leaving me the 3 nvidia until august. they pull the least power and will be all I use in house for the summer.

I think price will justify itself, because if this hits the nice sweetspot in $/power/hash ratio.... 2 x 1080Ti may well be equivalent to a 7-8x480 rig ... at least for ZEC mining. Can't wait for Phils weekend review.

Perhaps with the 1080Ti positioned starting at 800$.... Many 1080 owners will be going for that price point and selling off their 1080s. It will be a nice to pickup cheap 1080s for a ZEC rig. I think AMD has been checked mated by NVIDIA before the RX500 launch..... @JK... do you know what are the actual powerdraws from a 1080?
