Sorry.  Hey speaking of nvidia  I ordered this card

http://www.provantage.com/msi-gtx1080tiaero11goc~7MSTI0M9.htm

this is what it really looks like

https://us.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-AERO-11G-OC.html#hero-overview

that seller is a good one  and the price is good.

I paid 710 including shipping. I put it on paypal with 6 months to pay

What settings are you running the Amd's on equilhash?
I thought about moving them over to it.

these cards all have stock bios  and are  clocked not aggressively here are zec numbers.

If you clock it harder with stock bios it can go to 290h

if you really push them  on clocks they can get past  300h

my issues are heat since it is warming up.

ZEC on RX cards IMHO will be a waste of hash

This is very much due to architecture -- thats why RXs at best 290-300 VS R9 high end cards like Fury X, Nano etc touches 440-460 sols/s

NVIDIA cards esp the 10xx series seems a perfect match for ZEC mining.

As we all know.... RX runs best for ETH - Claymore and Optiminer can push RX cards to 290-300 sols/s at best, with asm optimization.

I think you will get more BTCs in NH if you put all RX to sell Ethhash and all NVIDIA rig to sell Equihash.

Hi!
Please, could you give me some advice about SMos settings sgminer 555-8 nh.
I have 4 rigs 480x5, all of this stuff working on Win7 NH as well.
But I also want to transfer it to SMos. When I start it by default settings, not any OC, it gives me 50% less than Win NH mining Smiley
What's your favorite settings for rx480 and NH miner?
Thx a lot!

what are you mining with sgminer-gm v5.5.5-8 at NH?

In my experience with NH mining, the following works best:

ZEC use Optiminer v1.7
ETH use Claymore v9
XMR use sgminer-gm v5.5.5-8-NH

RX cards works best for ETH
R9 cards and NVIDIA 10xx work best for ZEC

Why Musicoin now is so "popular"? (WhattoMine). Is some somebody mine this now?

yeah it strictly a heat issue for me..  I prefer to run them on eth  but it is a lot more watts.

done.

I am playing with eth settings  I just am looking to see some setting that will help manage heat issues as the weather warms up.

I am seeing how low core numbers  affect power use.

clocks like

800 core
2222 ram
0 power setting on smOS drop hash and power a lot

just need to see if :

hash drops less then power drops = good
hash drops exact same as power =  a push or neutral
hash drops more then power    =  bad

Almost bought Msi 1080 ti card yesterday (for zec).
Two developments stopped me:
1. msi 1080 ti card is actually 2.5in in width. I measured it's size on the H97 mobo and it is probably would interfere with the front slot when in 16XPCIE slot according to my guesstimate. Maybe I could have can hanged it on a riser....oh, well, it is sold out at newegg now.
2. AMD RX 500 series will be released on Tue. Assuming even $250 price, they should mine zec at 330-350 h/s ea without any bios tweaks PLUS maybe 28-30 in eth. So, two cards will cost only $500 but perform as a $750 1080ti card (at least in zec).

I was testing failover pool formats on smOS for sgminer-gm ETH and Claymore v9 -- I might have pointed a few GHs to Philip's BTC address for a few minutes.... LOL. Just FYI Phil so no surprises  Grin

FREAKING wise decision ...

but my birdies told me, 5xx series will be LIMITED in qty

stop and just buy these

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202275

rx 480 8gb for 205 = fucking cheap

as for  1080 ti

if you are lucky and get a founders ed  which are skinny  it does 660 h  and costs 699

the ones above do 290 h   and cost 200

1080 ti  makes sense for me  because they save power

amd = 2h for 1 watt

nvidia = 3h for 1 watt

I also have buyers for my 1080 ti's lined up for later this year.
