@ Phillip - Seems you're attracted to high pitch PSU noises.  Haha.  YOu will need a breakout board from YSYLUNG to fix that issue.  Don't get the ebay one!

you have confused me  quite a bit
I thought you were shipping a package of gear to me.

no worries if you changed your mind.

@ yslyung

let me know when you get the srr's as I am going to need a setup for 8 pc's

edit I hate the spring  I always mirror image shit.

@ yun9999   let me know when you   have the   srr for me

@ yslyung    let me know when you ship the  gear to me-------   ie breakout board wires and pico

@ Phillip - A couple of weeks delay due to Tytanick wanting to unload V1 first and V2 of SRR pricing is not confirmed.  Would hate to send you wrong pricing info, I'm antsy waiting for my SRR too.  My guess is I can't place the order until another week or two and arrival ETA is end of April.  PMing you now.  I will send you a nice care package so you can play with Pico and server PSU as it will take a while from Asia.  =)

Does anyone have any information about this board? It looks like a brand new Biostar board for a 6 GPU rig.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138449

I just purchased one for my first rig, so I guess I'll find out how it works.

Should be good as its' made for mining and same design as the TB85.  Only difference is that it uses LGA 1151 CPU vs 1150 and DDR4 vs DDR3 RAM.  I just ordered 1 to play too.

For anyone that wants a quick fix on the HP server PSU high pitch noise. What I did was reverse the fan, so it pushes air, instead of pulling air. Helped with the noise a lot for me.

Does this X370 board run 6 cards? Anyone spot any Ryzen 6/7 PCIe boards that can be used for mining?

you do know its easier for the fan to suck out air than push air right? reversing the fan prolly wont be good for the psu

That is another long debate, same debate about push or pull fans with radiators.

Here is a good read I got from overclock.net that I also believe to be true (but everyone has their own opinion):

"When a fan spins, air passes from behind to the front through the blades. The blades rotate and a pressure differential is generated between areas of the forward facing and backward facing surfaces. Because of this difference, air is thrusted from behind to the front via the blades. Key point is: higher pressure in the back, lower pressure in the front. Air molecules are accelerated from behind.

So, when a fan is used to pull air, its rear is obstructed and it is relatively more difficult to develop a higher pressure zone. To be more precise, it is harder to develop that pressure differential.
Contrarily, if a fan is used to push air, its front is obstructed but its rear is clear. So it can formulate a higher pressure zone relatively more easier."

In other words, what I get from this is that the fans will be able to pull in more air from the outside and force it into the PSU better, versus, the fan trying to pull obstructed air from the inside of the PSU to the outside.

My understandings could be wrong, feel free to enlighten me peoples.

Sucking in cold air. Works better.
Sucking in hot air works poorly

So if it is summertime and you are pulling in 90 or 95 f air you may have issues.

so I have an update, for those of you whom have seen yun9999 mention that I am making some custom cables for him
i wanted to share the standard version of what i think will be more applicable to miners such as myself with gpu rigs that wish to use
a server grade psu and pico psu per rig. (example: 1200w hp server psu, breakout board, pico psu, 6x gpu's with pci-express powered risers, hard drive)

this custom made cable is a 6 pin to 4+4 with a pigtail for the 2.5mm male barrel plug for the pico psu (main cable length is 8 inches)

happy mining!

Great Job Cryptowatcher.  So for those that are interested in the Picos.   It is now officially ready since we don't have to worry about the cable delays from Finksy.  I will ask Hawkfish to work with Finksy to see if he can get a bunch put on Amazon to make it easier for everyone to buy.  In the short term until Finksy can fix the cable delay, I will have Hawkfish ping Crypto to get a bunch of these cables made so that they can be sold as a bundle vs separate if possible.  We'll try to make it affordable.

I am interested in this cable setup as I have a 1200w hp psu , 8x breakout board, 6xgpus with pci risers and ssd. What is the price tag on an adapter like this? What do you use to power the 6x risers than? do you use a 8pin pcie adapter to power those or an adapter off the pico? What watt size pico are you guys using?
