There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Anyone understand this part of the contract dealing with hardware redemption?

7.    Customers holding enough MH/s to constitute an entire machine of the associated type (e.g., 4860 MH/s of Antminer L3+) are eligible to convert that amount of MH/s into the used unit of the associated type. If a user does not have enough GH/s of the associated kind to exchange for actual hardware, then this user is not eligible for hardware redemption.

4860mhs what?

Likely a copypasta error from the S7 contract.

Difficulty spike happening  160k+ Next stop 500k and than to the moon.. good luck, all the old miners are useless now. Time to cancel all of the July Order.

July (or any other) orders can't be cancelled.

I bought a few. Not that I have particularly high hopes for it - I'm pretty sure Bitmain will find a way to screw us, this is just a gamble on how soon that happens... I'm guessing they might keep profitability hopes alive until ~July.

I bough 1 piece only,
deal seems good even difficulty is X2 within 2 months
but I am not sure if difficulty X5 in 2-3 months

I think we will see 5x difficulty because LTC retargets every 3-4 days on average.

Plus don't forget all the units on hashnet they have available for contract are technically what they should be shipping out in may/june/july They can ship early if they choose to do so, but they won't. Just my 2 cents.

Edit: At 500k difficulty you are making $230 [if LTC doesn't rise] and at 1Million you are making $115 before electricity cost. So goodluck essentially Bitmain has screwed all the miners again.. like always.

To raise it 5x from current levels (~5 Th/s) they would have to produce 40 thousand L3+ miners. This might take a while.

Exchange rate is probably a higher risk. LTC was $4 just a couple of months ago and there isn't any rational reason why it's $16 today. It was like $40 three years ago. Then dropped like a rock.

Deal is good now, I agree. The only thing I'm worried is that with release of these miners, litecoin price will go down like before. I used to have high hopes for segwit activation, but I'm now thinking price goes up but keeps going down from here out. Hopefully it won't be a slow death like last time. July people are really screwed no joke. The only way out is if everyone holds the litecoins they mine, but most people will not be doing that.

So if we buy an L3+ on Hashnest, will payouts to our wallets be paid in LTC or BTC?

Those of you who bought L3+ miners on Hashnest.... Have your miners actually been deployed and are mining yet?   I don't see any activity on the stats page.

Why?  Unless my math is off, Bitcoin hash rate is growing by ~300,000 TH per month which equates to ~30,000 Antminer units per month.  And that's just the extra hash rate, not counting old units being replaced by new ones.

Woke up to some great news!

My L3+ has shipped and is due to arrive this week as per fedex tracking.

Would love to hear pool recommendations or if I should mine on my own with my 1 L3+

I had back to back orders and only got a notification for one of them so I'm not sure how they select who gets shipped and who doesn't

Anyway ....kinda newbie proof as a start anyway imho

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Even assuming the hashrate growth is all due to Bitmain, and they could make the same number of Scrypt miners, it would still take them a month or two while killing their own revenue stream. I think they will take it slower though. I'm not gambling my life savings on it, just an opinion.

It takes 72 hours to "deploy". Since they started selling it yesterday - nobody got theirs yet.

So if we buy an L3+ on Hashnest, will payouts to our wallets be paid in LTC or BTC?

The contract says "Litecoin hashrate" and I see nothing indicating otherwise so I would assume LTC.

A couple of my orders were 6 minutes apart, one shipped one didn't but they are definitely shipping them in order they were received from the looks of it.
