I do agree that United would love to have De Jong, the perfect player to get into the midfield, but they are looking at so many players that, this De Jong news is not a big deal. It is not like they have put all their focus on getting him, they are just "looking" at him, like ask Barcelona how much they would want, it is not even on the further stages of negotiations, which is why I doubt that it would happen.

We still have about 3 weeks to get the transfer window closed, which means that teams will get quicker but they still have time. So, United could keep on looking for other cheaper alternatives for another week or so in order to decide if they really want to pay that much for him.

AS claims that Gerard Pique is ready to play for free for Barcelona to be in a better situation about registering their new players. He has been earning quite a lot of money so this can really help the team get better about this. But this only can't help the team of course. They will still need to take some other actions about some players to fix the issue completely. The de Jong move to Chelsea can really help the team. Maybe they will lose an important midfielder but it is more important for them to register the new signings.

It was reported that Nunes had been targeted by Liverpool with a £51 million clause but this has not been further reported because Liverpool really need a midfielder at the moment with Thiago being injured for a long time, Chamberlain is said to have been sidelined earlier and Naby Keita missed the first game due to illness. that's according to the source.
Henderson is a bit lacking in contribution because he is 32 years old, his performance has decreased but he can still be relied on in my opinion.

Even though he is facing a bad situation due to many of his midfielder entering the treatment room, Jurgen Klopp has ensured that he will not hunt for a new midfielder in this transfer market. It's not easy to sign a good player when many of league already started, they might only looking for local league since most of players will like to join a big club. I think the midfielders can still fine without Thiago, I predict Naby Keita will replace him.

Barcelona fans were blaming him not to take an offer from barcelona. I saw that in some news de jong may go to the chelsea along with emerick aubameyang as well.
