When you make deposit to BTC escrow address does anything show up on your NVO dashboard to confirm received?Deposit has confirmed but no message of it etc?

Thank you.
I did not receive anything either, but I do not think it is needed, as long as your transaction is there, everything is fine.

On a different topic, I have a question, since the crowdsale is about to end, what it is going to happen if someone sends a transaction but the crowdsale ends before getting a confirmation? Does he receive his money back? Or since the transaction was sent before the end of the crowdsale he will get his tokens?

ETH is disabled on Poloniex. You know what? I'm going to double up my investment on NVO today. What the hell. Anything is better than centralized exchanges telling you what you can and cannot do with your own money. They're basically banks without the government backed insurance.

Yeah, a decentralized exchange is definitely needed so we can retain control of our coins and hopefully avoid another Mt Gox type situation.

Having a secure wallet and exchange access is already going to be a winner. I hope they add fiat to cryto like bittylicious.

Also - is the team planning to list the coin on exchanges soon or hold out?

I think they will sure be listing to the exchanges after the ICO and crowdsale.  There is no point holding the Coin and not getting them listed to exchanges.  Also seeing the progress of this, I can predict it will soon be a hit at exchanges also.

Saw an ad for NVO on CoinGecko and I wanted to come learn about it, but I am seeing lots of bad talk here. Is this project doing good, is it a good idea to buy into the crowdsale? Are there issues going on?

There's a lot of bad talk on any thread. That is the result (or purpose?) of decentralised democracy haha. But yes, project is doing good of course with all the issues that is normal for any new project. See for yourself, the crowdsale is almost $4 million total now (from combined crypto value).
it is a fierce competition so there are those who make an issue on this project but in fact the Nvo project is already experiencing a lot of progress, especially the rise of crowdsale that almost $ 4 million from the combined crypto value that you mention is true.

I joined the crowdsale on June 9th. I bought NVOs with ETC and ETH. However, now, the webpage does not accept my password. Trying to get a new one and it even does not recognize my email. Trying to contact the support and I do not get any reply, not even an automatic reply. What?s going on?

Thanks

I can sign with my Bitcoin escrow address or with the ETH or ETC addresses to proof my payments to NVO

Took a few hours for the website to update for me. What you gave was your public key, when they distribute the NVO you must find your private key and import that to their website. Just be patient for the BTC you deposited to show up though.

The Dashboard on NVO.IO doesn't track the Bitcoins deposits, it is not required because of the escrow address, anyone can check the state of its transaction on the blockchain directly.
The most important is not to send from wallet services like blockchain.info, coinmama or exchanges like poloniex, bittrex, or services like gambling. The bitcoins must be sent from the entered address on the dashboard, and this address have to be a private bitcoin address whom you own the private key.

Because you will receive the Tokens into the address you send from.

One last question, why does the bitcoin escrow address not have a balance next to it? I sent BTC there.

It doesn't have a balance because originally, people were confused about it, and though it was their address.

I really hope the devs stagger their crypto sells at the conclusion of this ICO.

Also, I think if I ever manage to start up a coin and go ICO I will definitely figure out a way to either explain better or code around the whole "can't fund ICO from exchanges" thing, it is not that complicated once understood but half the thread is about this and I'm pretty sure they could have raised a lot more funding without the confusion. Anyway, a day out and nvo looks like it's going to be a funding success, here's to the devs following through on their plans for a future exchange!

Thanks for the feedback, you are right somehow, but the problem is that it is not as easy as what you think, there is a lot of users who still relies on web services to use Bitcoin, that's why the concept of the crowdsale is kind of difficult to understand for some. Usually you login, click on some buttons, and then you have address to send to, after that you have your tokens. The NVO crowdsale is different.

One last question, why does the bitcoin escrow address not have a balance next to it? I sent BTC there.

I have the same question. I send bitcoin yesterday. Transaction is confimed by bitcon network. But there is no bitcoin balance in nvo.io no zero no nothing. Why? Alcoins show just zero balance and they should because I have not made any deposit by them. But why there is no bitcoin balance?

See the first post ^

Yes i heard about it, i am sorry for the guys who have ETH stuck there, it is really bad for ETH as most of its volume is coming from Poloniex. Yesterday even coinbase had issues.

Did this get extended by another day or something?

No, always refer to the timer in https://nvo.io

Do you already know at which time the exchange-rates of altcoin to BTC will be determined? Or will you publish them at some time? Because at the moment there are so many changes on the market ( Roll Eyes ) and it would be interesting to see which rates you are calculating with Grin

At the end of the crowdsale we will get the rate to calculate the conversion, after that, we will check all the balances and calculate the price of the token.

Yes, as long as it have been sent.

Yeah, a decentralized exchange is definitely needed so we can retain control of our coins and hopefully avoid another Mt Gox type situation.

Thanks for your support kolloh.

Just keep trying... but the good news for you that it should not matter if you lose access to the webpage. This is because the tokens will be sent to the addresses you deposited funds with. Just keep those and the private keys carefully until you regain access.

Problem with ICO is when it hits exchange it can dump and investor who buy through crowdsale will have less reward than those who wait to buy on exchange for half the price. You will probably get twice as much NVO on exchange when it trades for same amount spent through crowdsale. Not saying this will happen here but look at notable ICO's like waves platform etc.

I hope this is OK  Huh

You are okay if you send from counterwallet BTC address because you can generate private key with counterwallet.

When will the ICO end?

OP said that it will end at June 27 UTC 2:00, but now the web nvo.io still shows more than 8 hours to the end.

I like this project very much (i hope all developement will be smooth also)

One thing that i like a lot is the fixed value of $0.99 for NVOS.

Why?

just think of classical exchanges, almost all have BTC/everyothercoin, only a small part have BTC/FIAT

and obviously not "everyothercoin/FIAT", this suck because you are subject to BTC ups and downs, even

if your "everycoin"  is stable.

NVOS = a cash backed currency you can use like FIAT in every moment the market is crashing (if someone is willing to take
the risk to buy  "everycoin" in a crash offering NVOS)

But i haven't understand what Nemgun mean on safenet forum:

Q: @tonbi, @nemgun - We are told NVOS has a fixed value of $0.99 -
If the distributable amount of NVOS is $0.05 (Five Cents) for a user holding some NVOT.
How much NVOS is actually distributed to the NVOT holder?

A: @yippeeyo
I like your question, this is how the NVOT price will rise, for now the price of NVOT is around 0.33-0.4$
The NVOS will be divisible, with a fixed value of 0.99$, which means that you can 0. NVOS

Will the altcoins be converted after the current correction is over?
All rates are very unfavorable right now so I hope the escrows will wait a few days untill we have seen a restoration?

I am in doubt about sending Ether because of todays rate.

sorry, you can't use trezor,

the easiest way is to follow this guide using counterwallet:

Yes that is an option, but I think I can get a lot less BTC for my ETH then will be the case in a few days, when we will have seen a correction.
That's why don't like the idea of selling my ETH right now. It is also in NVO's best interest to lock the BTCvalue for the altcoins in a few days, instead of for todays uninteresting rates.

Hey, I sent some ripple today about 5 hours ago, but it still doesn't show any change to my balance.
I also noticed that the counter on top of nvo.io is stuck at 562663.70 XRP.
