If I have understood right, counterwallet is a web wallet and not so safe as NVO wallet wich will be a wallet that is on users own computer? So it would more safe to wait NVO wallet and import private key there?
In counterwallet the funds are transferred from an other address to counterwallets address by using the another addresses private key so that funds are sweeped to the counterwallet?
In counterwallet it looks like it is possible to create a watch only address by importing only bitcoin address there so you can watch there your tokens, but you or any attacer is unable to mofe the funds away from there?

That link might as well be Greek. I have the private key from a bitaddress wallet. Can I import that to counterwallet to see my funds?
right now only if you follow the guide in the link, hope counterwallet will be fixed soon. if you need only to check the balance you can use a "watch only" account with your sending address (by the way, tokens are not out now)

I wish I knew in advance that we needed to create a counterwallet. If there is a large price spike I wouldn't mind selling a few.

What exchange will it be listed on?
Question : Won't Lightning network do all this anyway? When LN is done along with other coins using atomic cross chain transactions surely this will negate this whole project? How does a decentralized exchange have/generate transaction fees?

Hello guys, sorry for not been as present, we are working hard for the distribution, and i had to drink a lot to get some rest for the last month. The wants to thank everyone again for the participation and support. I saw a lot of people speculating about the price, how about betting for a 5$ on exchange listing. Honestly i had to recover a feature i lost, sleeping, i may have slept 10 hours during the last 3 days, but it is enough to realise this step. I would like to ask the community to maintain a good price in exchange, i want the participants to be happy and confident to keep the energy, state of minde, happiness, strengh, rage to realise this project. We care a lot about the participants and the community, we thank the participants, supporters, even the haters. It is true the crowdsale is a success, and for that, our release will be a trophy. We will inspire from the ambitions of the community to release the project. I would like to say to the haters who followed us and who's ambition is to see the project up and runing, to say like : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz-8CSa9xj8 , my response is that i will let the precious pass, and grow it with honor, but the negativeness will be fired like gandalf : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4UfAL9f74IIf i reply with emotion and expressions who would displease some, it is to thank the community for letting us realise NVO and i am really proud of that. I have been able to drink enough to be fresh again, now let's do the second phase, distribution, exchange and development. The distribution will start by tomorrow, and will last during the week, this will let the team provide support for the participants who may have made mistakes, the support is a lot more active on slack as it is more convenient. For any support need, feel free to contact me by PM. But the best would be to contact the team on slack.

ICO initiators should obviously have noted that we need to send from a counterwallet in order to be able to actually use the tokens.
Options should be offered in order to obtain the tokens without needing to import private keys to a wallet that is unable to do so

You should be able to see the tokens sent to your address by using this block explorer: https://counterpartychain.io/addressesOnce NVST have been distributed, go to this link and enter your PUBLIC key/address in the search field. - You should then see your tokens in the Assets section. Just a friendly reminder: NEVER enter your private key on any website.

it was actually several times I'm not really upset about it, but tell me, where on the instructions is it mentioned? In fact, scrolling through it mentions importing private keys to counterwallet or NVOT wallet multiple times. If you are sending Bitcoin, Do not send from an exchange, pool or most online wallets and services, as you don’t control private keys. You will lose NVOT.
1. In the Personal bitcoin address section, submit a bitcoin address you control private keys. This is mainly used for depositing with altcoins. If you send with Bitcoin, NVOT will be sent to the address you used to send Bitcoin. So if you deposit twice with Bitcoin using two different addresses each time, NVOT will be sent separately to those two addresses.
2. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to use for deposit, copy address and send funds.
3. Wait until crowdsale is over for NVOT to be sent out to your address submitted in Personal bitcoin address section if sent using altcoins.
There is only 1 Bitcoin address for all participations, whereas each participant gets an unique address for depositing with altcoins with a balance checker. A normal bitcoin wallet is fine for holding NVOT, but you won’t be able to “see” and “send” the NVOT unless you are using a CounterWallet. Later, NVO wallet will also support NVOT, so you can send or import private keys.
If you are unsure on which bitcoin wallet to use, you can send Bitcoins from Copay, or JAXX, or Exodus. These wallets are more user friendly for new users. You can also use the links listed in Personal bitcoin address section.

Just a friendly reminder: NEVER enter your private key on any website. It looks like they haven't started distributing these tokens yet. But the above information is quite useful for newbies to check their token whether received or not. Just checked mine and nothing yet but it is too early to expect the tokens to appear. I just used my address to check not private key and people should remember that part before checking the balance.

Hello all, I'm sorry, I am not completely understanding regarding the wallet and how to view NVST. On the instructions it mentioned that you could use Jaxx, so I am assuming my NVST would be sent there, but I would not be able to see it? How would I be able to eventually see it? Someone mentioned I need to import private keys from Jaxx to Counterwallet? But then I think I read that Counterwallet cannot import private keys at this moment due to a glitch? Can someone please enlighten me? Much thanks in advance

It is a counterwallet bug that NVO devs didn't know when the crowdsale launched. it can be done manually if you want: https://counterpartytalk.org/t/sweep-private-keys-issue/2325/23follow those instructions and... good luck you can also follow this video guide mentioned in the previous thread link (your own risk) https://youtu.be/neYqIOKlyusi ask if NVO devs can check the tool and previous video guide to be legit for the token sweep, if affermative could be THE solution

i tried to import one of the used addresses in counterwallet. after putting in the private key and hitting Sweep just nothing happens. what to do? EDIT: maybe it is just because i don't have any BTC in both addresses. in which one do i need BTC. in the old or in the new or in both?
