People need to be aware that every 1080ti can't do same thing. I been doing overclocking for almost 10+ years since 6600gt agp. It can be very annoying example why i can't hit 4 ghz with the core2duo 6750 when the reviewers easily hit 4.1 Ghz. I just got unlucky with the silicon lottery. The only product that overclocked good was the Phenom II 1055t and the 6600GT. With my collections of 1080 ti I do easily notice the difference. Some can hit 130+ some can't even get past 90+.
Don't just push it because someone can. I keep a short test log for groups to speed up the testing time. It will be annoying if you go away for a while and found out you lost over 8 hours of mining work because of an unstable overclock.

Agreed. To add on, silicon lottery is one factor settings don't work between cards, another factor is the card model. Different GPUs have different factory OCs. A top of the line card that's +250mhz out of the box can't be expected to do another +200mhz in MSI AB even if Founder edition cards can.

And overclocking at this rate of mining value is not worth at all unless you have extreme low temperatures like under the 60 degrees or you will just stress your card for nothing Overclocking was more worth it when we had bigger gains like 2 months ago when it was 16 - 20 $ per card per day

So far the Zotac Amp Extreme can do below 60 with OC and at 80%. still hash above 51mh/s edit: i refer to the mod miner on sigt but now I hope to see lesser miner to reduce difficulty and also the mine and dump that destroyed the coin now

Hey, i'm not long into the mining business and i have some questions.
I finished my first mining rig with 6x Gtx1080ti 11GB and now i ask myselft, what is the best way to mine.
I found Nicehash, and i really like it that they pay you out directly in BTC. When you mining directly in a pool for just one currency, for example ETH or Zcash, you have to check the market prices every day and you need to exchange them with fees and a lot of work. So why not everyone is using nicehash? Do you earn much more money when you mine directly? And are you switching between the coins manually? Thanks
A few downsides. - Like you mention, you make less. Nicehash takes a cut for being the middleman. - I am not 100% sure if nicehash uses the latest, most optimized miner, so another few % slower because of slower miner. - You can't tweak GPUs to optimal settings, since each algo need different core and mem for best performance and best hash/watt ratio. Using a stable setting for all coins means poor optimization, another 2-5% loss. - Nicehash may not support the most profitable coins. In short yes, we earn more by mining ourselves. Sometimes ALOT more, usually 5-10% more. How you decide what coin you mine directly? And do you hold the coins or exchange them into btc?

About the holding, this is the 1Million question, we are looking everyday the market and exchanges, the best option for you will be the coin who gives more profit, couple of days ago I was on Signatum (SIGT), but It's not so good right now because of the low price on market, so I came back to Digibute (DGB). The best option to explore a lot of coins and dont do the math is Nemominer, the main ALGO will calculate the most profitable coin (Its wrong sometimes) and autoconvert to BTC to deposit on your BTC wallet at some point. Everytime keep the math close to your RIG, bcs all the time the market is changing and we cant follow all the coins. (unless you have some superpowers) GODSPEED

What about you ?

With 1810 mh/s (2* 1080ti), I mine only 400 DGB per day on theblocksfactory using Skein algo, so 400 * $0.016200 = 6.48dollar / day lol It's very bad compared with a couple months ago.
What about you guys? I saw a dude who said is making 300 DGB day per 1080ti, how?

Your TI's are at 100% power limit ? I have 950 mhs with 70% limit on my 2 1060 and 1070, and it's very bad rentability / day at this hashrate, comparing with other coins( SIGT )

You can use nicehash pools to get the autoconvert. They also come with the upside of being nearly always up. Unlike zpool where you lose 10-20% a day sometimes due to DDOS. If you use the nicehash wallet to store your BTC the fees for transfering it to wherever you want are super low compared to other wallets. So there is a few upsides. But yes using the nicehash miner generally gets you 10% less.

Mine is undervolted, underclocked, 80% PL, so if the guy said 300 per day last week, he is correct. Not much difference between the top algos for 1080ti now. As of now, a 1080ti in Equihash = $3.32, DGB = $3.44 per day. That's revenue, not profit. For 1070 and 1060, I think they are better at Equihash or Eth. Because in DGB, 1070 is half of 1080ti hash rate. But it is about 65% of 1080ti hash in Equihash and has a comparative advantage there.
