altcoin is dominated by shitcoin, and maybe only 300 altcoin can survive, I am not so interested in coins that have no significant development like Doge, I like altcoin which makes the holder smile and benefit from positive price fluctuations. Ethereum is ranked one altcoin that has a future, while others are still in personal monitoring.

Alt coins have a place in the ecosystem. Probably most won't survive but the good ideas from the alt coins can be battle tested and incorporated into the winners.

I hope some coins that will really in future. Ofcourse the first hope to ethereum. And then monetha (mth), why choose monetha? Because monetha have good developer, there is part of paypal team in monetha.

I think altcoins have a brilliant future and crypto and blockchain technology as well. Altcoins are just the value for this new upcoming and revolutionary technology which is the blockchain. Altcoins are necessary for the growth and rise of this new economic system. Ethereum has a very strong and safe future,it's actually the new corner milestone of this breaking revolution. We all should never forget that the market cap it's still very small compared to other markets. This means that the very next future is still big for alt coins and crypto.  |

altcoins definitely have a future.. overall, like technology.. but not all of existing coins will work soon, I'm sure even at the beginning of 2018 we will see a very different picture!

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.
What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?
I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.
If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
Yes it has a future. Every altcoin has its own problem to solve. Just be careful when choosing altcoin. Read their white paper if you want to know what will they contribute in the near future. |

Bitcoin definitely has a future in the next couple years. Regarding other coins, there are a good number of altcoins that have lots of potential.

Yes, not all altcoins have a future, but those have a good project behind them have very bright future. A new coin deeponion just comes in the market and in very short span of just some days, touch its high of above 5$ and all deeponions are distributed to community members free through weekly airdrops, no ICO.
Altcoins are THE future. Because they serve real world use cases. Bitcoin is “only” a storage of value, and it is great, but lany altcoins here have more “mass-market purposes” (check my signature ) |

Bitcoin can have a pretty bright future for a long period of time and I see alt-coins being a like a specific business currency, as you can see, some websites and services like facebook, steam,etc.. are using currency, facebook specifically has facebook tokens and I can see them creatingtheir own coin to be used in those purposes. That would make them money and would open up a few more possibilites. I think some altcoins have a great future.( ETH ZCASH ECC )

It does have future and to prove on that,many secret millionaires from altcoins started. It is of course from a small value of crypto money but if you hold many kinds of coins then that would give you a high profit soon. Buying altcoins don't mean a quick cash but this simply means you are growing coins gradually because it is intended for trading so by the time when you're ready to sell it,you would have a higher income if lucky you get one. |

Many altcoins have no future. Only some of them have no prospects to live a long time. But who knows the future? All believe in a long life of bitcoin. While no one can be sure of this. Altcoins can be compared with flowers. Every spring they bloom. Encouraging us to fall and then to die in spring to bloom again.

You should ask yourself the question : Do Bitcoin has a future ?
Because BTC is so late technologicaly speaking next to so many innovative altcoins...
The answer to that is yes, bitcoin has a future, if what you mean to say that bitcoin technology is outdated, then you may have a point but what altcoin can do what bitcoin can, most of those coins are nothing but copies that only changed the algorithm, like what bitcoin gold is doing right now, they did nothing innovative, bitcoin was and it is still revolutionary. |

That's why I believe in crypto currency and we don't really know what would happen next maybe there will be another alt-coin that would take the place of bitcoin .

I honestly believe that if any coin makes it to mainstream, it won't be Bitcoin. It therefore has to be a future unknown or a current alt. I'm not slating bitcoin, I love it, own it and HODL, but there's plenty preventing it from being mainstream right now. So yes, they do have a future.
If anyone says it has already gone mainstream, it hasn't and it isn't even remotely close to getting anywhere near it. It's mainstream when you can buy a loaf of bread with it.
