Do Altcoins really have a future?

I see them as a way of funding new projects, many of the altcoins' value will grow alongside those projects, some will perish but others will thrive, look closely into the altcoin you may choose.
But I do see great future in Alts

surely altcoins will have a future, but not all of altcoins, only the coin which live long will do, in my opinion, the following days will be a test to many coins as some countries will ban all exchanges and this will cause lots of coin to disappear

If they will continue on boosting those specific coins by having ICOs and projects on the way. Yes they do but I'm not saying that all the altcoin have the potential to succeed, only some. Just take a look back at Ethereum. It also starts from the bottom and now still soaring in its best price. There are still a lot of good altcoins out there.

What? I don't get it, are you joking right now? I mean, there are lot of things that could make altcoins have a future. If they will continue on boosting those specific coins by having ICOs and projects on the way. And making its reputation go up like Bitcoin, then it will likely to be more used by users and be invested in more often.

In other words, everything depends on popularity and usefulness of specific coin/token. Not all of them will succed, but many of them have chance to be adopted in some industries. In my opinion the biggest chance have altcoins connected to game, gambling and porn industry - as i observe this three are accepting cryptocurrencies faster than others.

I think in short term every thing is possible as we experienced high increase in prices of most of major altcoins such as Ethereum. But in long term everything depends on what will happen to Bitcoin.
In my opinion in future we will have only one acceptable cryptocurrency. If Bitcoin can solve its problems like high transaction fees that you mentioned, It will be that cryptocurrency. If not we should wait for another cryptocurrecncy that will replace Bitcoin.
We should also consider another important issue which is governments decisions. In future after accepting bitcoins by entire world, Governments would like to have more control on the system. We should wait for their decision whether they want bitcoin to be that major cryptocurrency or not.

I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.

Of course Altcoins will have a future because altcoins is the best place after bitcoin for investors to investing some money. I also though that ETH and Altcoins maybe have good future later. And there is so many altcoins will use them for real.

i agree with about the future of altcoin my opinion no one can on top in bitcoin they have altcoin to be promissing potential coins but no one of them get the place of the bitcoin as king of altcoins.

The way I see it ICO have a bright as long as they are done properly: not in a form of scam or raw project with some idea: those ICO's are not even worth being discussed. However, those ICO's with professional teams and advisors, working products and clear, useful tokens really have a bright future in store for them as crowdsourcing is the best solution for any startup. Though we will get to know the answer sooner or later

Oh come on alts are more usable than bitcoin because they are easy to implement on the blockchain and have them used the way we want. All the crypto cards are coming out of altcoin expenditures only and that's cheaper than bitcoin. There will more usage of alts in the future than bitcoin. So yes alts have great future ahead.

Many altcoins have no future. Only some of them have no prospects to live a long time. But who knows the future? All believe in a long life of bitcoin. While no one can be sure of this. Altcoins can be compared with flowers. Every spring they bloom. Encouraging us to fall and then to die in spring to bloom again.

Most of the coins that have been created have disappeared, that is why it is important to look for coins with original ideas, if a coin is noting but a copy of another but with a few addons then it is very likely that coins is not going to go very far, just look at bitcoin cash.

Right now there's plenty of altcoins that I'm not sure I'll be able to understand each purposes. I think after btc, there will be few few alts who will make it in the future. I can't say which is which but one thing I can be sure of, more altcoins will turn into shitcoins because usually, after the ICOs most people who invested will immediately pull out their investments once they break even with their capital and gain some profits. Mostly due to fears of the value decreasing instead of increasing. It's really hard to choose and invest on an alts whom you'll be comfortable to invest for a long time unless it's created by some well known figures in the business like BAT.
