In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

I believe you are wrong, this is only If they made a sexual relation out of wedlock (while both parties agreed on doing so). I mean, what normal person would agree to marry his rapist?

Truly! Who wants to marry her rapist? It would just make her remind of the horrors she experienced with the hands of that person! I respect that life is valuable hence I think that the right punishment is "life in imprisonment" which no decision can make it short if he is found guilty of the said crime. Also, I believe that death sentence is a way for them to escape the real punishment that they deserve.

That would be horrendous for the victim right. Imagine the trauma of having the rape act being presented every single day. It's sick. People who commit rape shouldn't be given any pleasure of being with their victims at all.

No one wants to marry his rapist, because it is repulsive and even somewhat humiliating. They only need to kill or cut off the genitals with further deprivation of liberty.

I hate to say this but rapists should be punished justly. I'm for the victims and for the family of them.
This shouldn't be tolerated anyway. Every victim suffers a lot even the rapists will get appropriate punishment.

I had watched a video somewhere in Iran or Iraq that a rape convict will have a punishment but not directly. His sister or any woman in the family will be raped, too bad for those innocent women who are related to the suspect.

The video may be from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Iran doesn't have barbaric laws such as this one. But in Pakistan, this normally happens. The rape of Mukhtaran Bibi is a prime example.

I just can't remember on what Particular country that video was. I tried to google who was that Mukhtaran Bibi and it was the same video that I watched. Too bad for people who are living on these places, they don't value laws, they don't value life, they don't know what's human rights. Shame on those people.

I think rapists are evil, so they deserve a punishment that would make them regret what they have done. Centuries ago, punishments for those who committed crime were brutal, some would be sentenced death penalty in a brutal way. I think if we don't have any human rights right now, such punishment would be suitable for them.

before MANY people died specially those GIRLS who suffered RAPE, those kids and babies that were raped?
SUICIDE because they cant face people outside nor even look to their self at the mirror..

I agree with you. Punishing the family members is a retrograde step. And I support that measure only for offenses such as terrorism, and only if it is clear that the family members were aiding the criminal. But raping the family member of a rapist is a barbaric measure.

Some crimes nowadays is involving raped. Some people are raping others to have their wants to their victim. Put in a jail or even give them a dangerous punishment should be given to those who raped others. Because if you are being raped, many problems can occurs to you like trauma. So the rapist should get the right punishment.

Nope. Can't go ahead with your plan. It might work in developed nations, but definitely not in the third world nations. This can increase the chances of the victim getting attacked in retaliation. Also, the rapist can blackmail the victim, thereby forcing her to give him a lenient punishment.

When we say rape, it is always done in force. Raped victims are physically and mentally abused, if abused was done then why will a woman marry the one that raped her, what life she will have with the man who is abusing her. For me, rapist has to be fired to death.

The best punishment is by torturing them in public areas, cut their sexual organ into pieces and punish them with death penalty. Since the rapist doesn't have a single thoughts and single control when they do the crime i think the government should do the same thing. With that, every person will think first before commiting a crime. Life in imprisonment is not enough for a person who commited a crime.

That would be too short, and everything will be over in 5 minutes. We need some punishment, which makes the rapist suffer for the rest of his life. What about this? After his penis is cut off, he should be sent to some coal mine, where the rapist must be used as a slave laborer. He will work for 14-hours a day and any wages will be paid directly to the victim.
