just for fun tried 3 threads 2x2016 and 1000  and 2016, 1600 and 100, both went worse to 1700 or lower

thanks I tried afterburner 19 but it didn't work for me so went back to beta 16 which kind of works

now running at 2084h/s drawing 306w (minus 80+ for mobo) so possible to get lower

I would settle for 3x2050 at 600w if I could

Someone said that you should clean all old Afterburner folders before installing new version to make all work ... but I'm not sure.
I tried out of curiosity for 1 time, it didn't work and I gave up. I'm satisfied with results I have with reg-patch.

I have been running my 1 x 56 for a little while now and I'm pretty happy.
Gonna build a 4 x 56 rig. Any recommendations for the Mobo?

I just built 4 of those rigs, all are Asrock H81 Pro BTC r2.0.  Works great and not too expensive now.

It's hard to find any cards at RRP and stock is a constant issue where price is anywhere near decent. Nvidia is meant to be releasing a new Vega 56 killer at a competitive price point at the end of this month. If so then there might be a price reduction on the Vega 56 at least. There's also the Vega refresh that's meant to be coming early next year which is supposedly meant to address speed and power draw concerns. Might be some good buying opportunities in the next few months if you're patient - at least that's what I'm hoping because prices are a little high for my liking.

Are you enabling HBCC for your FE?

I have an FE and a 64 and when I enable HBCC for the FE the card isn't recognized and needs to be rebooted.

Nice. Hopefully they work.
Cheapest in Australia I can find is $615AUD for vega56. There is stock of most brands here just hoping for a close to retail price

Yes I do, I mainly use the blockchain driver although I finally managed to install the new 17.10.1 FE dual driver. Only problem is changing drivers put it in a low power mode, it doesn't draw much power but performance sucks even in gaming mode with wattman

In case anyone else has same problem installing dual drivers on 17.10.1 the trick was to do a cleanout of old drivers as before plus FULLY disconnecting additional Vega's from power (I just unplugged risers before) so that I only had 1 vega in the pcie x16 slot, well it worked for me!

PS, re my earlier power figures for the 2100H/s, afterwards I noticed I was still powering 2x Vega FE but they were not connected via risers so actual power was a bit less than I quoted

Having had the 17.10.1 screw windows to the point of being unbootable after a failed uninstall I used windows 10 repair to do a complete cleanup of drivers but keeping personal files. Neat trick to get rid of old drivers and afterburner settings. Now back at 2100H/s with one card running at 68C and drawing 320w at wall inc mobo etc at 80/90w.

back on good old blockchain drivers

cleaning out seems to be a good idea, when I installed afterburner 19 it installed more files, been running an hour at 2116H/s solid, showing 2000+ at pool also

Ok, I'm going to set up a new rig with just FE and see if I can enable HBCC.  Can you walk me through your setup and settings to 2100H/s?
