What do you think about BCH off-chain scaling? Is it planned to be implemented this year? Yesterday I saw it being mentioned in twitter now cannot find it. Any thoughts?

Not sure tbh m8...need more info

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Not related to BCH directly but interesting news about Greg Maxwell - initially they thought he disappeared, and were searching for him with this :-)
https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7t2gi9/has_gregory_onemeggreg_maxwell_disappeared_from/

...but he's fine and now working as CTO for Monero Enterprise Alliance
https://twitter.com/fluffypony/status/956767602444922883

You are aware this is a joke and the monero Enterprise alliance does not exist

The same joke has been made between fluffy and Charlie Lee with the same fictional litecoin Enterprise Alliance

Don't worry about it yet, BCH still has excess capacity. If Lightning shows any hope of adoption we can bolt it onto BCH in a few months (NOT "18 months"). More than likely people will just use alts if BCH traffic heats up too much.

Good GOD don't let Greggy work on XMR, I know it's a joke but keep him in his own little box and do NOT let him commit to any repos...

Gentlemen, when will Roger Ver begin again his dishonest game and begin pumping bitcoin cash to new records? I noticed that earlier the cost of this coin changed against the market, but now bitcoin cache has fallen already to the mark of 1600 dollars ... And the turnover is falling, the picture looks sad. Once it's released and implemented on mainnet could it kill off all alts out there? Most alts I think just could not compete with BCH then. Outperforming in scaling, transaction speed.

Are you retarded?

People that brought in at $400 are still up 4X.

The Chinese Miners are the ones behind this coin, the very same ones that keep segshitcoin running.
Once LN ever activates and starts hurting their fee profit on segshitcoin, they are going to dump segshit in mass killing it in a death spiral and all move to Bitcoin Cash.

Anyone that can't see that has been the Chinese Miners plan all along is not paying any attention to the markets or reality as we know it.

╥Aztek

Bitcoin will operate just fine with LN

LN is not designed to take everything off chain just small retail transactions right now very little retail happens on chain most is transferring to/from exchanges and mining pools and this will  most likely always remain on chain

Right now if there was no block subsidy a BTC miner would earn $13000 while a BCH miner would earn a mere $30 and the block subsidy is falling so you better hope BCH can start gaining some huge transactions otherwise the miners will just leave BCH as it won't be profitable unless they increase the coin supply to continue getting a subsidy and with the intention to go with huge blocks regular users won't be able to afford a full node therefore cannot refuse to accept the new rules that have been forced on you

Why do you Lie so much.

LN is shit and is nothing more than banking.

You turn over your segshitcoin to a LN Bank , which will then manage it for you as most people don't have the time or inclination to maintain LN over complicated bullshit.
Miners will earn nothing from LN transactions.

Bitcoin Cash is the Chinese miners plan to dump LN /segshit , once LN becomes a threat to their profit margin and you know it.
Which is why no matter what anyone says, Bitcoin Cash will continue and at some point all the miners will switch to it.

I really hate to break it to you guys...

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.
