Here is the definitive guide to getting WorldCoin connection for the first time:

1. Why this problem happening? because the windows client only had a couple of IP addresses hardcoded into it and they keep timing out due to demand. Once you get a connection for the first time after following this guide this problem will never happen again

2. Close worldcoinqt

3. Delete the .conf file if it's there and peers.dat in the 'roaming' folder of 'appdata' for worldcoin

4. navigate to where worldcoinqt.exe is, (hold ctrl-shift-rightclick) and select open command window there. Paste into the command line:

worldcoin-qt -addnode=82.8.158.89 -addnode=188.194.8.221 -addnode=183.62.232.93 -addnode=124.188.83.171 -addnode=72.222.208.81 -addnode=89.10.226.206 -addnode=173.16.119.230 -addnode=173.16.94.167 -addnode=66.232.186.235 -addnode=71.201.163.216 -addnode=98.193.75.196 -addnode=71.86.91.187 -addnode=63.175.158.121 -addnode=82.8.158.89 -addnode=188.194.8.221 -addnode=183.62.232.93 -addnode=124.188.83.171 -addnode=72.222.208.81 -addnode=89.10.226.206 -addnode=178.148.10.66 -addnode=178.148.10.66

You have to right click to paste. This will add a bunch of healthy nodes and get you started.

i like it but add this node to... 5.135.115.138 its my server so i know its not going to go down XD

Added.

I am assisting a Worldcoin miner and broker with some issues they are having with their wallet, the wallet is out of sync, and is having difficulty syncing. A message is displayed at the very bottom of the wallet client that says: "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade". This user has been trading and transferring from the wallet with some success, but is concerned, can anybody shed some light on this "WARNING" message?

===============================

WE WILL try to apply this solution or gather information from this solution that will assist, thank you.

Make sure the system time housing the wallet is correct.

The system in set to auto, I'm in Australia and the time is correct. I haven't changed anything on the system and it was working fine yesterday.

Issue: Worldcoin (WDC) wallet shows a warming message: "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade"

FIXED!!

1- Backup "wallet.dat" file.
2- Navigate to the roaming profile and delete the whole "worldcoin" folder
3- Open "worlcoin-qt", and close it.
4- Replace the new "wallet.dat" file with the old one you backed up.
5- open "worldcoin-qt" and let it sync, all outstanding transactions will clear and all the coins will be there.

Thanks for everybody's help, we now have a fix :-)

Well... I had a couple of WDC that I mined to try out, and I tried to send it to mcxnow. However, when I sent it, the client stopped responding and closed out before completing. When I reopned, it shows the transaction as having been sent, but after 15 min now it still has 0/4 confirmations. The address was obviously correct as well. Anyone have any clue why this is?

Nevermind, went through after about an 45 min lol

Now no pump and dump... if you hold out and prove strength of the coin, BTC-e will take it.

Anybody else having problems with slow transfers?

Sent WDC to Bitgrenade but the damn confirmations took 45 minutes. Essentially lost what I sent due to 10 minute timer at BG.

Last couple of days I've done numerous transfers to and from bitgrenade, sold a few here on btctalk, never added a fee, instant transfers with no problems. This morning was the first delay I've encountered. Was just wondering if it was affecting anyone else before I try to send again.

Sent some to myself a few minutes ago, worked fine. Maybe a fluke trans.

Need to be ready for BTC-e.  Grin
