I see Electroneum as interesting project, but I dont understand exactly if this is realy mobile mining coin. What I understand from here about Electroneum mining: mining work only with PC and mobile users receive rewards for use Electroneum app wich runs games (not for mining). If this is not real, I want a clear explanation from devs. Thanks.

Mining the blockchain is for the desktop miner. The allocated Electroneum pool will reward users for running the app in the background, allocating coins when they run the Mobile mining experience. They are not adding blocks on the blockchain. You can play a game on your smartphone to slightly increase the coin allocation from running the app, which in turn educates you on blockchain-mining and enables you to turn on your computer, and actually mine the blockchain.

If Electroneum team say this is first mobile mining coin and this is just a joke I have some seriouse doubts in their project. When they use mobile users to use app for marketing purpose and offer coins as rewards this is not mobile mining experience.

It is a mining-experience, you experience how it feels to mine, but you don't do it per se. That is what it means. Nobody says this is the first mobile mining coin, and have never done at all; many have tried and failed. But this is the first that neglects the bad things about previous miners by doing things differently. And with this aimed at the non-initiated public, they don't want to setup complicated or damaging software on their phones just to mine. They made it easy. It is an experience, not a miner.

I am just really not so sure about Mr Anyone wanting to destroy his smartphone/table battery.

Apple won't release it before it hits an exchange, so as close to 1st of November as possible, the android is launched though

It was told to us by Richard on our telegram-chat, that they wanted to see some market capitalization before they will release it, but they can't show that before Electroneum hits the market

@evergrow. I wish there was more concrete info on the iOS App, but thats up to them, and I know Devs are doing everything they can to make it available ASAP. Just realize that ApplePay is somewhat in competition with us. The iOS app will come sooner than later, but they will make us jump through a few extra hoops before then.

@ David Payton (not sure of his handle here at BCT) made then forum the FAQ is on, so as you can see, this is a decentralized community, and the coin is decentralized as well for the miners powering the blockchain with their home computers. Only the App and mobile mining is centralized, which I see as the perfect balance

Have you read what the mobile mining really entails? First of all it's not a unique idea. It has been tried before and phones broke down because of the overheating. With Electroneum the phones won't overheat. And that is because no true mining will take place. It is just a marketing strategy where people will keep the Electroneum app online and are rewarded for it with a few ETN's. Electroneum with this marketing strategy only introduces the idea of mining to those being still ignorant about the possibility. Allthough Electroneum has an interesting content also, the mobile mining is only a marketing concept.

I may not doubt your view on mobile mining but I think it's a unique idea because there are not many other projects out there focusing on mobile mining. Perhaps because because of possibility of success.  Yes, it may not be unique as it may have been tried elsewhere before I have no knowledge of. I personally would want to try it using Electroneum App. I hope my phone will not break as you claimed.

It will not break, exactly because it is not really mining what you will do. You will just run an app on the background for which Electroneum will reward you with a couple of ETN's. The idea of running an app for which you get paid might be unique. I'm not sure about that. But I'm not certain that you understand what I write. And it is exactly in those people where Electroneum hopes to find enthousiasm for their concept. So it seems to work!!!  

Yes, no one has made any money using aftermarket mining Apps that attempt to use your phones resources to mine coins. Doing this, you will ruin your phone trying to use it to power a blockchain. Phones are not powerful to power the blockchain.


With Electroneum the people on home computers power the blockchain, so those mining on a phones dont have too.

This is why Electroneum is the only coin you can mine on your phone without causing damage to it. It also has a game you can also play when you are not just mining in the background.

Community involvement is the lifeblood of a coin, and there is no shortage of support!!!

We are growing exponentially. 5 to 10 million raised will be plenty for a smashing success, but now with the rate of growth increasing the way it has, my new estimate is 10 million! I think 5 million will be hit at 3 weeks IMO.

1000x gains? That I cant promise, but this is one solid investment.

iphone 10 can do the rest of the job with multi-core score of 9959, one of the highest in all smartphone range!
I believe mining on an iphone 10 will not be an issue!
