I got my stake bday bonus today and unfortunately it was significantly smaller than last year's, for whatever reason. I leveled up since then and my gameplay should also be the same, no clue why it got smaller.  

It's based on wager activity as well. For example my past monthly bonus was higher this month because I wagered a good amount. There is a minimum amount for each rank and then some extra for wager but capped at $20-25 I think for Platinum-4.

Bro, I know how bonus stuff on stake works, 4 years and platinum 6. 
Pre and post for platinum 4 were capped at 30 or 33$, I don't remember exactly but as plat 5 I had 35$ for sure. Now you can actually get more than the cap for pre/post, I read from people that had 80$ post monthly as a platinum 2, that's a welcome change.
And like I said, my wager and whatever didn't change compared to last year's October, I can see that on the reload amounts I got during that time, as well as raffle tickets. But whatever, I didn't complain, just mentioned that it was less than last year and I actually thought, because I moved from plat 5 to plat 6, that it might be higher, haha. Well, I thought wrong obviously.

And you are right, stake introduced many things that kind of became industry standard. At fiat sites in the past you lose your money and that's it. No weekly/monthly/reload and whatever. Those were dark times.

First of all I have no clue about it and second there is too much outside influence on the outcome, so I don’t see the value. Did stale already grade these bets? For bonus frequency, it's interesting about the double birthday bonuses! You might be right that some accounts get that perk based on activity level or tier. And hey, Platinum IV is a grind but worth it if you're getting those extra perks.

I can confirm this because I received the same thing this year: b'day bonus by email and from VIP host (for real b'day) and 1 stake's bday bonus from VIP host (exactly the same as Stake's bday because I created my account on August 8th).
For those who have VIP host already, it is recommended to ask your host when the time is come just in case the host forget about it
Yes monthly bonus is getting closed but I would not expect too much because I'm so inactive, perhaps I'll get less than $100 or even less than $50 this month but it will still be a nice amount to start a new session.

Great stats and in fact if anybody noticed now what Stake has done it has lowered again the minimum bet in Pragmatic Play games and also doubled or in some games quadrupled the money needed to buy the bonus games or use the buy bonus feature now is at least 2x more expensive and in some games 4x more expensive, have not checked their super buy bonus in Pragmatic some games like Sweet Bonaza 1000 or Sugar Rush 1000 and those new games where you needed x500 your balance to buy bonus but let me check right now and see what has happened there too, to many changes are not good in my opinion and why they don't have an exact formula I have also never understood that too. I think what he asked is not whether his affiliates [the new sign-ups] need to perform KYC, but rather whether he himself, as the one sharing referral, will need to perform KYC before he can share his ref link. But your answer essentially covered it well, by January 2025 all of Stake users [be it the referrer or the referred, and be it new or old accounts] will have to be already performing lv. 2 KYC.
