I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
Of course. I always believing to the bitcoin. I know bitcoin can surpass all of the challenges that the bitcoin will face in the near future. It is obvius that the bitcoin will exist in this world forever.

There are many ways Bitcoin could die catastrophically. The first one would be a technical flaw (for example, a bug that would allow someone to steal Bitcoins). The second one would be an economic failure (for example, a code change that instantly gave 10 million Bitcoins to someone for some reason).
A technical flaw would be something like a vulnerability in the encryption used by Bitcoin or some security vulnerability in the consensus code that could be exploited.

bitcoin is just started, i think the future is all your bitcoin and bitcoin will rule over global market.
If we observe bitcoin history then bitcoin is famous very quickly in very short time  and people are using it now for their large business and shopping . so after 100 years bitcoins will be so famous that you  will never think.

Yes it will.

Why?

Because the technology will still exist and so will Bitcoin.

The real question is... would people still use Bitcoin after 100 years, or some other cryptocurrency?
As we know bitcoin is a crypto currency and it people have get knowledge to know bitcoin very quickly and now people are mostly used bitcoins for their various purposes so if people have trust now then sure people will try to continue it in their future and in step by step the bitcoin will surely leave.

I believe that bitcoin will survive in 100 years or maybe more. However nothing is for sure yet. products from the underlying technology is very much the risk of disintegration

Make me great again

It seems so, bitcoin will not die in 100 years but that I fear we will be extinct before bitcoin dies Cheesy

Bitcoin is just on its starting-mid point. But, look at the potencial of this? Bitcoin would survive even tho up to a 1000 years. If the community would still be alive. (No community [no users/ supporters] no value for bitcoin) in the end. Bitcoin would just be still bitcoin.

I myself can not predict it all, so far bitcoin has a very good potential, for the next few years bitcoin will not be replaced, but if for 100 years I doubt it, because surely there will be a new competitor who will be present to destroy bitcoin.

No, I don't think so. It will probably be too energy inefficient to do so, unless somewhere down the future BTC hardforks into PoS.

of course yes, Bitcoin will survive up to 100 years into the future, as long as the community is still strong and stay solid, I guess we do not have to worry about Bitcoin hinga 100 years into the future ..

After 100 years if you can think about bitcoin it was so famous and will be the biggest currency in the whole history it is because if we see the past history of bitcoin then bitcoin is famous too quickly due to which people have start trusting on him.

Because the technology will still exist and so will Bitcoin.

The real question is... would people still use Bitcoin after 100 years, or some other cryptocurrency?
If we can deeply observe the history of bitcoins and can compile the whole history step by step then the bitcoin is famous very quickly the reason behind is that bitcoin is a trustable currency because it a crypto currency and people can used very easily so in very short time had got interest of people then in future it should be live.

in general, after 100 years, the priorities of mankind may change and other technologies that will be advanced and semantic for that period will also appear. Of course Bitcoin laid a huge potential, but that will be very difficult to predict.

Of course, bitcoin will last forever the only thing which matters is how will the world adapt to the increasing difficulty of bitcoin. on some other thoughts, it is quite possible that there will be some new opponent in some years as because many new coins were launched with the aim of being better than bitcoin but all of them failed so that gives some possibility that there might someday some coin can overcome bitcoin's price and its problems.

Even I believe bitcoin will persist and will not die, bitcoin has a positive impact on everyone who uses it and for miners even a blockchain system can inspire banks. I'm sure bitcoin will be the attention of the whole country in the next few years.

Yes, definitely, bitcoin would survive.
I believe after few years Bitcoin will be the only transaction method in the world Wink
This has some great benefits for which people would like to exchange Bitcoin instead of physical money.
This is something very much unpredictable. I think it is very much difficult to comment anything on this. As far as I can perceive the things, I am very much confident that Bitcoin will manage to survive in the future in the very same way as is surviving now. At that time, things will be very much different as compared to that of now.

I'm not too sure bitcoin can last for 100 years, if bitcoin can survive for 100 years it is a great thing. Bitcoin should keep it clean if it's going to last that long, but it's tough. Bitcoin must have innovation so as not to lose competitiveness with rivals.
