They won't start war they adapt with bitcoin. I am sure because big banks are giving lessons about bitcoin to their employees i know that Smiley
Thats true. as an example we have Ripple, which is combining great with world banks. Also Russia is making its own crypto, to help its banking system.
The fact is that I noticed the movement even in totalitarian countries on the legalization of Bitcoin and work in the field of crypto-currency. I think that no banks will be at war with Bitcoin or other crypto currency. The fact is that the crypto currency is very good for today for all financial structures.

Banks do not need to start a war against bitcoin now. Very few people of world population knows bitcoin and uses it everyday, the rest uses banks. Bitcoin is still in its infancy stage so banks do not see it as a real threat yet. Even if the banks did start a war against bitcoin this war would be lost since the beginning and in fact this war would be beneficial to bitcoin. As soon as the banks starts to attack bitcoin many people will become curious to know it. As soon as these people that the main idea behind bitcoin is be your own bank they will fall in love with bitcoin and start to gradually go away from banks.
I disagree if banks are truly aware of the possible dangers of bitcoin and their business practices then it seems like attacking bitcoin at its infancy seems like the best idea, if they let bitcoin grow too big then it will be impossible to stop it and while I do not think bitcoin is going to destroy banks I think bitcoin is going to be able to offer an alternative for those that want to take it.

The banks already started the war against bitcoins, several of them are closing or blocking exchanges accounts, its funny that exchanges are providing the banks a lot transactions and fees with the service provided to trade crypto currencies, but they are scared since the volume are growing always. At the place where i do live now they had recently closed the account of one exchange already, they are starting to see the power crypto currencies has and are scared.

Yeah I have noticed that as well, they are trying to cut the link between the cryptocurrencies and the financial world, but I think that we are getting closer to some countries will completely legalize bitcoin in the same way that Japan has done and then those countries are going to open their banking sector to crypto and with it they are going to get billions of dollars in their countries as investment, so at the end those measures taken by some banks are going to fail.

I know we are still at a start of cryptocurrencies, but bitcoin is growing with lightning speed right now and some banks already see it as a potential threat.
There has been a lot of accusations form banks, that bitcoin is perfect for money laundering and is used for supporting crime.
I think they can do a lot of harm to bitcoin market and they will eventually start with harsh campaign against it.
Do you think it will happen and when?

Yea,banks see bitcoin as a potential threat, but they'll handle it in a different way than you think.
They will not spend money and time campaigning against it,but they'll destroy it by issuing their own cryptocurrencies.
And just imagine banks with all their logistics and money being able to invest...for me one of the reasons not to hold bitcoin long term.

There are hundreds of coins at the moment, some with the support of banks and yet none is close to destroy bitcoin, that will be the same as printing more fiat but just in another form, that is not going to destroy bitcoin at most that is going to slow adoption since some people are going to fall in the trap of the banks and instead of adopting bitcoin they are going to adopt those coins.

banking sector will not start war against bitcoins because " bill gates said No one can control bitcoins and no one can stop bitcoins".
war will begin if banking sector comes with own digital currency than we can say that war begins with bitcoin and banks..

looking for that possibility will bring xrp on its good level as we knew that this coin project was design to be use by banks to be centralized
unlike bitcoin which until now the decentralization purpose are mostly use by more people who wants to hide their identity so i guess banks
will try to create its own crypto currency for their own gain.

My thoughts on this subject, is Banks may in the near future see Cryptocurrency as a thread, for some would see that banks offer such abysmal interest rates for saving accounts. People will and are seeing that crypto, is making much more invested in coins than in a financial institution such as a bank.

I do not think that will happen. We need banks for the economy. Tell bitcoin to become such a huge bank to shut down. How will you handle fraud? How will you borrow? This is not possible without a bank, and bitcoin can not solve the problem like this.

We hope they will not. But that will happen sooner or later and the bitcoin community needs to be aware of that. But stopping bitcoin is not easy, because the community is growing and banks should find ways to integrate bitcoin into their systems.

I think banks will not possibly fight against bitcoin
 they will instead join bitcoin.
because they definitely see a lot of enthusiasts or investors against bitcoin

I think its not only banks, its government of many countries who are facing huge challenges. Most countries are trying to bring law against transactions in BTC. Its more like parallel economy and sooner or later, there might be some kind of hammer coming on it from US or UK or Russia. Still Bill gates and Warren Buffet is putting lot of faith on BTC. I think even Swiss banks are facing it as challenge. As tax heavens are finding investments hard..

All government and banks are scam. They printed paper and declare it as a legal money.
They control people all over the country and nobody may hide from them.
they win all the time.

Bitcoin is legal due to the spreading of bicoin is based on POW.
Win win for bicoin and people.

I bet they won't. The battle is about survival of the fittest. The banking world is a little bit threatened with the constant and consistent of cryptocurrencies but they know very well that they are well-entrenched in the system and that they remain one of the most powerful bodies. But they just have to consider the probability of getting one or two techniques from crypto.

Bill Gates is not a banker, he is a man of technology so it is obvious that he can see the merits on bitcoin and why people will like to use it, bankers on the other hand see noting but competitor and I will assure you they are not happy with this, they are in the most profitable industry in the whole world and they are not going to give up their profits that easily.

Yeah I think it is quite possible that banks start a war against bit coin soon because of its increasing popularity among the people belonging to different regions of the world. Banks feel more unsecured because of the following characteristics of bit coins:
   Encrypted virtual currency
   Anti theft
   Exponential growth
   Decentralized currency
   Globally accepted

I believe it has already started with the negative news articles and false information being spread about Bitcoin. The myth that Bitcoin is only for drugs is one of the lies that we have to stomp out when people hear the word Bitcoin.
