Personally if you could get the MACD working and triggering on crossovers (user choose of crossover zero line or crossover signal line) then im quite happy to use just that on its own. I think the MACD is the best indicator of them all , there's a lot of argument over that one but its my favorite.

_______________snip____________
"Also for a default strategy the most effective I have tried out recently on NASDAQ data was a combination of MACD and RSI (Only trade if both indicators signal a buy and sell if both indicators signal a sell). In the BTC rally of 2013 RSI would have indicated overbought but MACD would have confirmed the rally trend and you wouldn't have missed out on that epic rally. Then when MACD discovered a turn around, RSI would still be overbought and you would sell nearly at the top."
_______________snip_____________

Interesting you should post this, as I have been trying to do exactly this with the alpha .9 version.  In theory .9 should be able to do this, but I am still learning it's ropes & do not have this "stacked" strategy functioning the way I want yet... will keep all posted...

Will this be an option in the current or next release? Triggering with MACD and RSI simultaneously?

"That which you call your soul or spirit is your consciousness, and that which you call 'free will' is your mind's freedom to think or not, the only will you have, your only freedom, the choice that controls all the choices you make and determines your life and your character."

Good question, Maybe your stop loss / drop loss setting?

Strange thing I notice, sometimes there are just no selling or buying signals for a period, while the indicator is clearly indicating buy or sell:

I think my settings are solid (all on 0) so they shouldn't interfere with the signal:

PS: This is only with 1 indicator (the standard MACD)

So it seems possible to stall the bot if you close it and then restart it with the same settings. The trade amount will remain in the fields but that amount might not necessarily be in your wallet anymore due to previous trading. At least that's what I think happened

I am stilll unable to reproduce it here, but i am looking into it right now. There must be something causing this.

The ROC calculation has been updated, san1ty. Wink

The MACD calculation is displayed upside-down, at the next update i have fixed this and i have set the cross-over as trade-momentum. Later i will introduce a MACD-Signal indicator to support the other trigger method too.

Thanks for the update Stephan! And thanks for looking into my issue, it's really weird, in the benchmark there are periods that it just refuses to trade :-S.
If you need any more information from my side, let me know!

Stephan, look forward to those new updates.  I am having an issue with my balance when I go "All-In". The balance to trade with is lower than the actual balance in the wallet, even the wallet that the program shows.

San1ty, I was having the same issue, even on the most simple High/Low trade setting. I watched as the market was at my limit and then went passed it, with nothing happening.

I have exact same problem, the buy signal never gets triggered due to coin position. Only when i reset the previous buy value to zero, it will trigger the trade. Selling works just fine, as soon as all triggers are met, but after a drop above the minimum coin value drop AND the trade indicator is allowing a buy, you will get the incorrect coin status notification instead of a new buy.

When i reset the previous buy value to zero (without restart of program) it will do one more complete trading cycling again. After the next sell, it won't buy again!?

I am redesigning the entire buy/sell triggering system. There is some "island code" that should be "shared code". This could be the cause of the issues reported.

I will update the interface to provide more details about the current trade-bot status. I am adding this:

I hope this will give more insight in what is happening at the current moment. What you are looking at here are all the triggers required to allow a buy or sell signal. (except for the drop-loss of course)

I am looking into ways to show this information to at the benchmark form, but i am not sure how to do this yet.

Edit:
The shown percentages will be the new percentages inside the bot signal. They do not apply to the current version.

Hey fellas, I'm not entirely sure that my BitStamp settings for my simple trade bot are working properly but instead of entering my client ID and password under login I tried plugging in my Public and Private API keys instead in SimpleTrade bot and that seems to have worked. (again, it hasn't executed an actual trade so I can't be sure)
