Ehter Delta isn't that bad (but it isn't good either). Anyway I'm sure that SOMA will be listed at many well known exchanges

imho the number of coins doesn't really matter that much, since coins are usually also divisible by fractions of coins. What's more important to the medium and long term price of the coin is the inflation rate.

ED is ok for 2 days, SOMA must have a partnership with an exchange for after there ICO.
A fast listed project right after ICO will give you investors who were just to late, if it takes to long those investors will be to another project or forgot about it. Exchanges are very important and I dont think ED is that one.

The problem with Etherdela is, that most people just don't like to trade on it so a different exchange would be nice. But I also think, it doesn't need to be Bittrex or Polo to become successful.

Etherdelta will remain the favorite place for some people because most token will be available to trade at that place. No need to wait for a longer time for a new token to be listed on etherdelta. Making unrealistic expectation only make you disappointed. Soma is a good project but getting top 10-15 with hard cap funded, probably means 10x profit. It is not easily achievable. Just wait, if it is really good, one day it is possible. But not likely in short term.

Some will get value when the platform is live and more people use the service, before that it will be speculative, and it won't grow much further ICO price, or perhaps it will go below ICO price for a little, that is normal with this kind of project that take time to get the product out, look at PayPie, a big project with a lot of disruptive potentials that sold out in 6 hours, is selling at ICO price and sometimes in less, their product won't be out until q2 2018 in its basic form, and completely functional until Jan 2019, only then its price will increase very high, the same will happen to SOMA, so you will have to hold at least 1 month after product launch.

I am growing to like Etherdelta too but i have to admit that i understand why some people rather not use it. It's hard to compare to traditional exchanges. But just not being able to cancel orders manually is kinda annoying.

There is always potential for any alt to breach top 50, 15 and even 10, especially if you take into account the high numbers of tokens in circulation. If a huge whale decides one day to just raise the buy order from <1 cent to even 1 dollar, then you multiply the supply by x100 and you have it boosted so high. That is the problem with looking at these alts. So much metrics to look into and analyze. Top 50? Even top 100 is an achievement for Soma.
