Folks, I think there are some very serious issues going on with Burt (aka lucazane) and this pool.  If you look at the last series of postings here, almost all are complaining about issues.  I have tried and tried to get him to reset my password, but after a month of trying, realize my requests are being ignored. I have PM'd him several times and posted my issue on this forum.  I know he is logging into the site by looking at his stats.  If a miner forgets their password, is lucazane free to take the coins for himself?  Why else would he be so reluctant to help?  You have no recourse other than to plead with him and be ignored. I am not accusing anyone of taking coins.  However, what happens to coins in accounts that you can no longer get into?  Do they just sit there forever?  What happens to your coins if he shuts down his web site?

I would highly recommend that anyone mining on the blocks factory pool, especially if you are mining with a lot of hashing power, move to another pool and try and get your coins off this site immediately.  At least until Burt gets his act together and starts running his site properly.  The fact that numerous others are posting here about issues, with passwords, PIN numbers and transferring coins, etc., should be troubling for all of you.  You do realize that he could shut down his site without warning and you would loose everything you have mined and not transferred to another wallet?  We have no way to contact him.  There is no support link on his site, as he states, and if you click the password reset link, it resets your password and you will NOT receive an email.  Once reset, there is no way back in unless Burt helps you, which he doesn't appear to want to do.  These are all signs of trouble and I hope you don't get screwed over like I did.

There are other Digibyte pools out there.  I moved over to miningpoolhub.com and have had very good results, but there are others as well.  In addition, miningpoolhub charges only 0.9% pool fee vs Burt's 1.5%.  I would also take a very close look at the actual amount you are being charged in pool fees on theblocksfactory site.  Since he shows the amount earned and the pool fee in your stats, get your calculators out and verify.

I have nothing personal against Burt and the amount of coins I have lost are fairly small.  I just hate being ripped off.  When a system, of any kind is about to fail, there are warning signs before it breaks.  You are seeing the warning signs now.  Get out while you can folks.

Happing mining.

Yep, same thing for me  Huh Huh Huh
1080TI usually getting around 1.1 GHs
Now dropped to 400/500 with ccminer reporting the normal hash rate as usual. Problems with the pool?
my mined in 24 hour rate has dropped also

Having the same problem here, any solutions ?
thanks!

Been mining during the last 3 months on this pool. I have noticed, every day during a short period of time (minutes) this pool reduces every worker hash power more than 50% wehen your miner keeps mining at normal hash rate.  I am afraid when this happens they steal that amount of DGB.

Let's say on GroestL the pool hash rate is 150Gh/s, so if everyday during short different periods of time they receive more 80Gh/s, even for 2 minutes. THAT IS A MASSIVE AMOUNT (relatively).

It's disappointing

Is the backend for DGB groestl fine? It shows 0 hashes for pool. But my miner works fine.

same for me . do we need to stop mining ?

Now...I'm moving out to miningpoolhub.com
First of all...the admin is less-onlined person.

Nevermind what happens to the miners or the servers.
React too late.

If I were an admin. I would check it everyday.
The name 'Admin' must have Responsibility follows.

Nice to see a statement from you. You are the fastest miner and you should see, if autopayouts are working. Looks like its better to switch pool. I follow to miningpoolhub.

Sad to see miners moving away... Admin you follow this thread to know what's happen to your pool.

I'm using obsoleted ASIC scypt to mine at DGB, too bad that miningpoolhub does not have it  Sad

I think Scrypt is fine atm. But a admin from a pool like this should recieve mails from his server and from his thread on bitcointalk. And there is no reaction atm. Thats a bad sign for me.

I hope so, not many pool with DGB scrypt, hope it had no problem.

I agreed with you, as a pool manager, must count support as part of the job, otherwise miners will not have confidence to continue mining in the pool.

Older account banned since I changed password to it slightly over year ago, what a quality forum this is.

Anyways, to the topic; I didn't even realize that the Groestl-pool was showing zero hashing earlier today when I manually withdrew my balance about 9 hours ago. That transaction happened as usually, coins within minutes in my wallet, so I'd guess that whole pool ain't totally crashed over?

Also withdrawals work on Skein as well, took out my coins on same moment as said above. Overall, I've not seen any other problem on Skein DGB-pool during my slightly under 2 months of mining on there.

TBF DGB Groestl pool is still at zero status and updates but happily lets you keep mining.  I'm going to switch for now too to another pool.  I hope the admin is just on vacation--things happen.

First of all, I am really sorry about the delay.
I have only see the problem now because I didn't had the time to check my mail :/ Otherwise I would have disabled the pool to allow you worker to fallback on another pool.
I didn't read all the message yet.
I know the problem has been very bad handled and I am realy sorry about it.
I am trying to do my best to run the pool but sometime it's really hard to conciliate it with the life.

We had a major problem on the DGB GROESTL pool.
The pool wasn't recording share during 32 hours due to a database crash.
The blocks were still mined but share not recorded.

The other minor problem is when you have 0 has txid after a payout. But be sure that, after a PM, the payout will be done.

Okay, lucazane came through and I have access to my account now.  I didn't realize that Yahoo was blocking his email at the account I had registered but he found the rejections on his end.  Hopefully, he will be a little more attentive in the future and monitor this forum.  People can get a little panicky when it comes to money.  I understand life can get in the way of keeping up with too much and accept his explanation.  I will gladly point my mining rig to his pool again.

Thanks again lucazane.

Good evening, please check the minimum configuration (workername_diff0.008) because it is no longer working.

What is the new minimum configuration?

Good evening, please check the minimum configuration (workername_diff0.008) because it is no longer working.

What is the new minimum configuration?
Try 0.016

It works for a while and jumps to 0.032

Before my setup I was mining flat at _diff0.008

And now stands unconcerned in any 0.008, 0.016 or 0.032 setting.

Please verify

Must be some minimal nonsense

Hi Lucazane,

I was mining almost the whole time during your database outage...  About how long until we're credited for the shares we submitted during that time?
