It depends on the thinking of the people doing the business with bitcoin. I have many friends doing investing and trading in other markets. My investing friend told me that trading is gambling. While my trading friend told that investing is also gambling. In my own opinion investing and trading in bitcoin is gambling but the probability is high to have a profit if you're investing while trading need special skills to profit which maybe bigger profit than investing.  |

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
Everyone who says that bitcoin is gambling has a wrong mindset. Bitcoin is just a digital currency that exist within the Internet. You can earn bitcoins through joining signature and bounty campaigns, claiming in bitcoin faucets, bitcoin mining, gambling (like in casino), investing, and offering your skills and services to others. Clarify to the ones who told you that bitcoin is not gambling itself, gambling is just another way to earn bitcoins. In gambling, you can join different games where you can bet bitcoins and receive more bitcoins in return if you won. Your profit here inly depends on your luck; if you are lucky you will become wealthy but if not you might face bunkruptcy. Others' perspective also think that investing bitcoins is like gambling because you exchange your fiat money to bitcoins and risk it in order to get profits. It makes sense for me but I still disagree because I don't think that the word "gambling" is the right term for it. |

Correct. There is no risk in bitcoin, because it is not like the real "Gambling" which we are just going to lose most of the time. Investing in bitcoin is a real deal, we could make a huge profits out of it in the long run if we are going to do our research about it. It would be better if we know what we are going to do on a certain thing, because if we do not, then the possibility of losing is higher than if we have knowledge on what we are going to do. |

It depends on the person who is doing it.
If they're smart enough to invest their money, then it's not gambling. Since if it's really gambling, then you will lose all of your money.
As for the one that just going around and invest their money like there's no tomorrow without doing some research, then gambling is a perfect fit for them.

Bitcoin is not gambling and true it is a thing that can be ascertained. rising bitcoin prices are a boon for us. the important thing is that we can take advantage of all the situations that occur and therefore we will be required to always make the right decisions. using bitcoin is also not a thing that depends on luck like gambling game. this is what mentions that bitcoin is not gambling. when bitcoin is used properly and accordingly then we will get satisfactory results as well. |

I think they are using gambling in its broad sense. There are risks involved in any investments, and that would include investment in bitcoin. So in a way you are still gambling. You gamble by taking our money to invest in something that is risky. However, the risk is relatively low though. |

Some people saying bitcoin is a gambling because they never know how to use bitcoin as well. Bitcoin be gambling, just for some people like a gambling. Do you know? Well, bitcoin is money, and it can be used for so many things, maybe some of them are bad things or good ones, but i dont understand those people who use bitcoin only for gambling, it is full of them in this forum. I have been in a signature campaign of a guy that was a trully gambler, he payed all of us for one week, because he lost the week2 money because he played on the rulette and he lost.
So it is bad to gamble.

This is why some people are not interested on bitcoin because they think that bitcoin is gambling and illegal or bitcoin is just waste of time or useless. They think of this because they don't know what is bitcoin and what it can do in our economy in the future. Bitcoin can boost us and it can and may be our currency in the future and those people who thought bitcoin is useless of illegal will start and learn about bitcoin until then they will not know anything because of their attitudes.
