We could have called it as gambling if it would have been gambled with our luck and all the shits. Gambling is done with things like pre defined algorithms and we have to bit that shit in first place with our luck which seems far fetched concept. It is set of outcomes in terms of maths and there one in thousand chance of hitting the jackpot.

Now after reading all above lines does bitcoin even look closer to that ? If no then for sure bitcoin is not gambling. I have ever seen systematic investment like bitcoin ever and we are saying that it's gambling. That shook m head with nerdier attitude.

Dictionary.com's definition for gambling includes:

"to take a chance on; venture; risk: I'm gambling that our new store will be a success."
"any matter or thing involving risk..."

Is there risk with owning Bitcoin?  Yes.  It's gambling.

Is there risk with investing in real estate.  Yes.  It's gambling.

You're using an informal definition. The way gambling is primarily used, even according to your source's first definition, is according to whether a person plays a "game of chance." Bitcoin is not a "game of chance." There is risk involved, hence we can say, informally, it's "gambling" or akin to gambling.

Here is Wikipedia on "game of chance": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_of_chance

You are right, bitcoin is not a gamble, bitcoin is a digital currency, which makes it called gambling is how to get bitcoin, there is gambling, but there is also a way of bounty with prizes. So it depends on how we get it how. Let us not year in what way we use to get the bitcoin.
Agree, a lot of people who do not know fully about bitcoin so they say bitcoin is gambling, in fact if gambling there are certainly opportunities for loss, but which I feel is I always get the profit.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Who said it, that bitcoin is gambling?
I have not listen to anyone that who think that bitcoin is a gambling. But i think people think that bitcoin give a way of online gambling, and nearly it is right, bitcoin wise, people start to play online gambling, and if we say bitcoin promote the online gambling world then i think we are right. Perhaps i will say bitcoin is not gambling. Bitcoin is a online money and it is crypto currency.

I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

There is investing and then there is speculating. Bitcoin is a highly volatile and high risk investment.

A Bitcoin investment is when an investor understands the fundamentals, technology, and long-term potential of Bitcoin and invests into it with the intention of holding it over a long period of time.

Speculation is when someone buys Bitcoin and plans to hold it for a very short period of time with the intention of timing the market. It is a bet, might go in favour of the speculator, might not. So speculating is similar to gambling.

So people who say Bitcoin is gambling consider it as a speculative asset rather than a long-term investment.

I'm little confused of what you want to point out here OP. Hope I will answer it right on my own judgement of what you might want to hear/know.

Bitcoin is an investment, yes it is. Bitcoin is gambling, no it isn't. We put money on bitcoin as an investment buy holding it for future increases that might happened in the future but to say the least that bitcoin is gambling is not what you think it is. Even with high risked on buying bitcoin it will not totally be called a gamble because bitcoin existence is supported if millions of users and investors that won't back down on challenges and bad propaganda but to continue to stay and wait.

Bitcoin is not a gamble, bitcoin is a digital currency that is not regulated by any state or institution. Bitcoin is a digital currency that can be sent over the internet. Maybe those who think of gambling as they are already misusing bitcoin to gamble, not to invest, trade and some people to mine it. I do not agree if bitcoin is considered gambling.

Who told you put your all money on bet? If rate is low don't sell it simple. Prices are fluctuating all over the world of everything. So be patient and always wait for the best.

Bitcoin is gambling i think because the risk of holding money has two side, you dont know what will happen to your bitcoin increasing and decreasing is the two side of bitcoin thats why i think bitcoin is gambling.

Those two things are totally different. Gambling is the wagering of money something of value on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning money or material goods. Bitcoin don't Like that It's a online Currency. Don't Mix it together.

In my opinion bitcoin is not a gambling, but an investment, you still can hold bitcoin when the prices down and if the prices up you can sell it to earn profit, diffrence with gambling, if you lose it means you lost all  money that you bet on it

why you call Bitcoin is a Gambling, never.
Bitcoin is a system of payment and investment platform. Basically, it is a currency which can be used for the digital platform. it can be also called as an investment market. but for me, it is as like as the capital market. you can trade with Bitcoin that can bring to you a huge profit. but you can call Bitcoin as a future money. I believe that Bitcoin will be a global currency in the future.

It's not gambling, it's called knowing what you do and put some Money into it and, yeehaw, you will get a profit given you're not dumb. Bitcoin provides the opportunity to make wise decisions IRL and in the crypto world to be honest, gambling just makes you lose money, simple. Gambling is done because you're addicted to it most of the time and before you know it, you're in a debt. But it doesn't work like that in bitcoin, so please stop saying bs which doesn't make sense

Bitcoin is not gambling it is a digital currency. Bitcoin is used by the gambler as a medium of payment in gambling. So bitcoin is very different with gambling. We can compare bitcoin to fiat that is used in different transaction like payment, buying and investments. We cannot categorize bitcoin as gambling.

This depends on the purpose and the way you do it. Trading Bitcoin means trading currency, which includes gambling, but also strategy and skill. If you have a balanced portfolio of multiple currencies and hedge the risks - you diminish the gambling element and it becomes more of a solid investment, but it's not just Bitcoin at that point. Trading only one currency is more like gambling as you maximize profits, but it is much more volatile than a balanced portfolio and so there is a greater gambling element, not really suitable for financing your lifestyle or long-term savings.
