I would go for coins that have solid roadmaps that are being hit.

Coins such as ADA should increase dramatically in 2 years time as they become more mainstream, and are seen as a "V3 Blockchain" by many.

NEO is also a good one to hold as you have mentioned, you get GAS as your interest which is a great benefit.

Well the crypto has this magic that if you invest in long term and hold it foe almost a year or two, the whole scenario changes and the worth of your portfolio rise high. The rise in the worth of portfolio occurs because of the fact that even little appreciations in the value of alt on daily basis adds to the overall worth. Besides, an investment right now will be more fruitful because there have been positive predictions and good speculated price about altcoin.

If you can afford to invest in ethereum then you should start as soon as possible especially right now because it's value is dipping . Ethereum is one of the great coin when it comes in long term investment and it has a outstanding credibility in the market so you don't need to worry about it's legitimacy.

from what you mentioned above none I have, I am late to participate in the project.
but I have some nice tokens to maintain for the next 2-3 years, namely MTC, DAN, and ALTX.
the coins are now after the ICO has finished its price continues to rise, unlike the coins on which usually always fall when after the ICO is completed. So these coins I think worth to be HOLD.

Neo and Waves are the best altcoins that I think are worth investing your money in the long term. And also you can check out lisk which is almost the same of ethereum but provides more functionalities than ethereum and which is abelieved to be more secure and easy to use. But then there are rumours that waves platform would become the next priority of the ICO to be hosted on,
like rightnow ethereum network is being used, and in near future so would waves be, I am almost sure of it.
I think that Zilliqa (ZIL) is a promising and long-term currency for 2018. The platform is designed to ensure the operation of secure decentralized applications, the work of which involves the integration of requirements for scaling and the implementation of financial algorithms.
Apart from these I think you need to find out more on these coin listed and decide on which one you will be going for. There is future for the coins I have listed.

In my opinion, it is better to make your own research and trust your guts.
I was asking myself what to do when cryptocurrency goes down and found out that the most of the privacy coins are undervalued right now.

The best opportunity is to find a privacy-related project with a low total supply (less than 100M), that way the price will be increasing much faster.

I recently found one project called Ethereum Meta, it is related to anonymity and untraceable transaction. They have a very interesting project to build the Anonymous E-Market Place.

I, too, support you in this regret, because it would be much nicer to get acquainted with Bitcoin back in 2009, when it had me a price of only a few cents. If there was such an opportunity then to buy these coins, then today one could already be a millionaire.

Ambrosus is probably the best coin to hold for 2-3 years. They are a supply chain blockchain that's working with some of the biggest food & pharmaceutical companies in the industry. Migros ($30B annual revenue) is already running their products on AMB's blockchain. AMB is criminally undervalued at current price, and in 2-3 years it will easily be worth 10 - 20B market cap (So almost 150x current price)

NEO is the right choice. current development of NEO many interested and this certainly will make NEO will also be more and potentially in the issue price in the next few years. but do not forget also the ethereum and ripple also has the potential for subsequent years.

What you've mentioned like OMG and NEO is a good and potential coin and Bitquance and XVG are the next good and potential coin. I think you have done some analysis on these coins and selected the right coins. These coins has good potential to grow x10 or x20 within 2 years and you may fill your bag with profits on these coins.

I think many coins will not survive after 3 years. For this reason the coins with very good project should be chosen and the number should not be less. For example, you bought three coins, but all three of them can be dead at the end of three years, but if you buy ten and let's say half of them are scams, but the rest of them will be enough for you.

I also think that these coins can bring us a big profit. I also store these coins. Only I have big doubts about WAVEs. It seems to me that this is a weak project.
