Why are so many people against bitcoin?

Actually I do not know why they do not like bitcoin and why they are against in it, but you may be right, they might just be afraid that their money will go to the wrong hands. They just need to understand better about bitcoin, because there are so many news that the bitcoin is scam even though it is not true.

Maybe they are not against bitcoin, maybe they only hate it for missing the chance to buy before the value gets high or if ever they are against it is because bitcoin is just a digital currency.

You must understand that most people are afraid of something that is unknown, that is a natural fear on humans and many animals, they fear that something like bitcoin is going to change the way things work around the world and that they are going to be on the losing side of the revolution.

I don't think very many people hate it.. the majority are indifferent.
The public has heard of it lots.. they just don't care.
It has no bearing on their life.

A lot of my friends are against bitcoin because it has no real intrinsic value and isn't backed up. I tell them yes it has mathematics behind it which I trust more than a bank and also gold is only used as a storage of wealth. So why not use blockchain technology as it gets more and more important?
Also I think some people are just jealous because they didn't think about it or they missed the chance when they could afford some bitcoins

some are probably angry that they did not get in early so they want to see it fail to mock and scorn those who where smart or fortunate enough to buy bitcoin early and had enough balls to hold on to bitcoin despite its drops.

This kind of envy is very common I remember seeing an experiment, in which a person was offered two options he was asked which scenario he preferred, an scenario where he earned double the amount of money he was earning but his neighbor earned double that amount or that both earned just 10% more and most people choose the later, instead of choosing the option that gave him the most benefit people preferred to be on the same level as someone else.

Some people are really against bitcoin but the fact is they are actually invested in it and make good profits lol and the others are afraid to lose money its risky but profitable and the best strategy is invest in bitcoin and if the value was already doubled the amount you invested you can now withdraw your initial investment and left the profit and hodl it in your own wallet for a long time.

There are some cases that people turn against bitcoin because of experience or they dont like the idea of bitcoin. There are some people who spend or invest a lot of money in bitcoin but end in losing all of that and didnt earn profit. Lets keep in mind that not all the time, we can earn profit in bitcoin. Sometimes we lose a lot and gain a lot of money. Also, bitcoin can be used to some illegal activities in the internet like buying illegal guns and drugs thats why some government in some countries already banned bitcoin in their place to prevent the increasing rate of crime because of bitcoin.

Maybe you were right but in some other point many people against bitcoin because they were not able to buy when this coin was below $1k and now that the price is already $11k its so hard for them to buy since the risk is also high. in short they are against because they didn't earn a single satoshi for he bull run of btc

Maybe because they're the laziest person that don't want to hard work. Actually its a bit hard to gain bitcoins you can't work with faucet for many months. Investing with bitcoins is also a risky task maybe in past they invest with it and work with there laziest which cased they lose their money.

Because they did'nt know what is cryptocurrency so thats they did not understand it well.They are afraid to invest their money that it will be lost due to its inflation of price in bitcoin.

you mean deflation why not invest in a coin that will keep climbing up in value?   21 million coins 4 million probably lost.   means there will be around 16 millions coins in circulation.   BItcoin vs the total of world fiat currencies in total!  Let them miss out. It is because of the fake news that circulates in the internet saying that many has been scammed through it. So people not knowing bitcoin are inclined to stay away from it and immediately tags it sinister without giving time to see through the innovation and potential it brings to society.

Yes, Lack of knowledge is one of the basic reasons why people are really afraid of using bitcoin. Moreover there are countless other digital coins which are fighting for overthrowing bitcoin and those who ask such people about bitcoin, they always go against bitcoin.

Maybe what you mean is a government that hates Bitcoin. There are various countries that have banned Bitcoin because they think they can not profit from Bitcoin. Yet if the state learns correctly, the state can also get profit from Bitcoin. If we do a transaction with Bitcoin, we do not have to pay taxes. If we keep Bitcoin, we do not keep it in the bank and the country feels they can not profit from it. If you ask individually, of course, many individuals feel that they benefit from Bitcoin. Maybe they do not know the word crypto currency so many do not like it. There is so much reason to avoid bitcoin. they have no idea they do not know bitcoin they do not know their value. they do not believe in bitcoin
