While choosing a coin one should look for:
The strength of the team working behing the coin.
Market validation of the coin.
Market capitalisation and current price of the coin.

All of these things are needed to be able to choose the right coin. analysis and strategy in choosing coin is the most important thing and you should think when deciding which coin you want to buy and then sell it at the right time.

I would say to follow your mind. Almost everything thatvis good, has bright future if there is strong back behind them, hope you understand what I mean. Choose coins, think why this one is better than that one, compare all of them to each other and also look developers and people behind it, as I already said, strong back means a lot. Poor developer with great knowledge and idea can't build something that will beat it's concurent.

Everyone says trading is easy, you have to pickup a good coin and then invest your money there..Will you guys, please tell me how I know it is a good coin or bad? What certain things I should check about that coin? What types of information helps me to know the coin is good?

Not that easy.
Altcoins are so many.

Its specs is the key,
If the altcoin can make money by itself, it is another key.

It is cheap Smiley

As what everyone already replied:
1) Market cap
2) Price
3) Position on the list
4) Trading system

But do remember when choosing a cryptocurrency you need to know if you want to be an aggresive investor or a conservative investor. If you are an aggresive investor then go for ICOs. But if you are a conservative one, then go for the major or dominating coins like Bitcoin or Altcoin.

DeepOnion has just been released on the exchange and is set to do exceptionally well. Trezar is also one to look out for. Neo is a definite and I'd say NXS to but it'll need a while to recover. (Then again, which alt doesn't at the moment!?)

As the rest of the guys have said though it's about really understanding the coin your investing in and also analysing the market. There's never 100% certainty though.
There is no reason to deny this fact it is not only certain coin but almost all the coins which are there in the world of crypto currency which are uncertain and volatile in nature. You never know whether you are trusting some right coin or not.

You can only chose some coin based on your own knowledge and skillset. Analyze the things well before concluding any kind of decision.

Some times you need to look at advisors who have announced their support to a project, because most of ICOs now are about hype and marketing only.

I always look from an easy point of view.
I choose a coin that's 3 or 2 years old, and is on a big and trusted exchange like bittrex. it's better to keep it from rising junk coins then disappear.
Better you just said. Actually doing homework before joining such trading’s must be done in case you will be going in a right way. If you are a newbie and want to indulge in this crypto world, then believe me you must have to work out for the coin you are going to choose, whatever you choose, remember it will affect your profits. So you are right, better is to choose good one.

To choose a good penny you can consider the following factors. The first is the idea of a coin (in fact), the team's professional DEV (well-known scammer) coin, the technology that this coin develops breakthroughs, and you need Consider whether the community is interested in the coin. With the above you can choose a good coin yourself.

A new coin with passionate community might be good for shorting because there will be all sort of irrational trading moves!

That sounds very sudden man. Just having passion now a days doesn't work in the first place. You have to be careful about the schemes, fishiness and ponzi these days. The ICO projects special are getting weird now and they are trying to cheat many of the new user and oh yeah obviously they are passionate about it!

I completely agree that those qualities should be there but somehow there are lot many things which must recognised about the coin. First of all the team should be well know or at least there should be some public records on how are they and where are they from. Then comes the planning of the projects and the important dates about it. If we have those things taken into consideration then we can start moving further for investments.
Choosing coin is the most important decision and this leads to the future profit and I choose coin in the basis of these thing firstly I see the popularity level of coin and secondly I see the people trends whether they accept that coin or not and after that I see the profit rate of coin when these three things are satisfied then I invest in coin ad so far btc is the most suitable to these terms to earn a lot of profit in small time.

There are lot of basis when choosing a good coin. For me, if you want a good coin. You should consider their white paper, road map, team members. Also the circulating supply of particular coin.

Normally people tend to focus on many factors for choosing  a coin, which in itself is commendable, but the fact remains that, no matter the team behind a coin or other factors, if the project doesn't not appeal to you, Don buy. That alone has saved me some bucks, Shitcoins are just everywhere.

But it is not such an easy job.  i think it require a lot of study. Without good study it is not so easy to choose a good coin. In fact there are a lot of coin and still creating more and more, in which a lot of coins are scam and created only for the purpose of to collect money from the people, therefore it is too much important that you must have good study about the coin where you want to invest your money.

Yes you are right man the main thing is popularity of the coin whether it is acceptable by the community or not and if it is known to the community and frequently used all across the world then invest into it and so far in digital currencies bitcoin is the coin that is owing all these qualities and its profit rates are also very impressive so invest into it without hesitation this coin will bless you with an epic future ahead.

It is quite a silly question. Choosing the best among all available choices simply means that you need to open up your searching browser and get the first hard information about present market values of cryptocurrencies we all know that according to the international market statistics Bitcoins are most highly rated. The major factors that contribute towards the fame of a coin is its market value stability and consumer level.

You have to be familiar with the data behind the coin and also, if you are not a newbuy, i mean you have some experience in trading, try to memories the members of the teams who had success coins launched thru the time. The white paper is important but you have to pay extra attention to the stage of the project, how far they are.
