A final bit of trivia.

Among the 3 major merged mined coins, Namecoin, Devcoin and iXcoin,  iXcoin has the first and only fully working version of the Bitcoin 0.8.6 client.

Namecoin has not performed the port and is still back at 0.3.7
Devcoin, some folks have performed the port but are having issues with some calculations.

So in terms of the innovation race,  iXcoin is in a *very* good position.

Digits might not actually be allowed in the three character standard for currency codes.

Also in pronouncing it I do anyway tend to say eye ohh rather than eye zero or eye nought.

So mostly it makes me think of the moon name Io, which in turn leads me to think of

Of course one could also think of it as "I owe" and try to thereby relate it to debt payments or somesuch.

You folks want to sponsor another coin when many here do not even bother to send an email to btc38.com. Out of curiosity, how many of us has sent an email or/and subscribed to btc38.com and QQ, asking to add ixcoin to the largest altcoin market in china?

I am still at a bit of a loss as to why you don't use IOCOIN, it has a good hash 1/5th of IXC and no premine  cloud, scam hanging over it.

We have a cooperative relationship right now with I0Coin, in fact I've sent their lead developer some of the bounties for his contributions toward the IXcoin 0.8.6 client.

Three things

(1)  IXcoin has a much higher hash rate that I0coin, IXcoin is right behind Namecoin in hashrate.
(2)  I really don't know what I0coin means.  It needs a rebranding.  At least I can say "iExchangeCoin" or "International eXchange Coin".         
(3)  I0coin in market cap is really languishing with the rest of the riff-raff coins.  IXcoin is constantly just right at the edge and a little push will take it into serious territory.

The answer says a lot of how much this coin has been left uncared.

From now if IXC is almost unused, unknown or not even considered, the person you should blame, probably, is the one you see every day in the mirror.

iXcoin is holding up very well in this down turn.  One of the few coins that's positive on the day.

That's because iXcoin is just bouncing at the bottom, with really just a few people who are aware of it.   Yet,  despite this,  it is still #25 in the list.  If IXC doubles from 13 cents to 26 cents, it hits #16.  

Anyway,  give it time.   Many of the coins ahead of IXC in the list are just there because they are new and have a ridiculous # of coins printed... give those coin 2 1/2 year and the'll trend to zero.  

Look at the coins ahead of iXcoin in cap:

A majority of these coins aren't less than 6 months old.   What price will these coins be 2 1/2 years from now?  Some of these coins print like 1 million coins per block.  These are mostly pump and dump coins that the unsuspecting consumer thinks it is cheap beacuse of the price.  

iXcon is genuinely cheap.... most of these coins are pumps.

I don't worry about the new flood of altcoins, simply because none of them really has any real differentiator from the others.   iXcoin is unique because it is #3 in hash rate.

I contacted Bitezze.com

This is their answer:

"We utilize Coinpayments as our crypto clearinghouse, currently IXC is not one of their supported currencies. They are however conducting a poll right now as to what new coins to accept, you should make sure that members of your community vote for IXC. If it is added to Coinpayments system I will surly enable it as a currency accepted at our store."

Basically if we are able to convince Coinpayments to add IXC, Bitezze.com will add IXC a new accepted currency.

I just sent an email as well to coinpayments to please add iXcoin as it's the third most secure crypto-coin in the world.  That right there alone is a good enough reason.  Like Vlad was saying, educated, clever Wallstreet Bankers will see what should have been obvious to all the supposed techies out here.  The bankers are gonna come in, clean up and change this entire game since everyone here has been so clueless.

I really need to set more time aside to keep up with the forums opposed to staring at the IXC & BTC markets/orderbooks. Even more so after seeing iXcoin not listed on the Coin payment thread with one of the response saying "Is there even an iXcoin community"...as ludicrous statement.

With that said, I apologize if this is easy to be had information but is there a link that someone could direct me to regarding the information of the development of the IxCoin client update. Ive read over a number of our threads multiple times but cant remember the status of this and other pertaining information.

We are testing it and so far it looks good.  No issues at this time.

Yes, the development team has a lot to update.  That is why we can't be burning our time with marketing.  I am glad Dexter44 has stepped up to this challenge.

Yes... watching the IXC charts are a waste of time... move the coin into cold storage and come back a year from now.  Historically for 2 1/2 years, IXC has remained relatively constant versus BTC (look at the statistics page at www.ixcoin.co ).  What that means is,  as BTC gains versus USD, IXC gains versus the USD.

The good news is that in under 24 hours IXC has more votes than 90% of the coins on the list.  Remove the few ShitScamCoins and iXcoin would be near the top.

IXCoin became merged mined very early in its history, on mmpool at Bitparking, so it is possible hardly anyone has a huge stash of them except maybe owners of large popular merged mining pools and, of course, visionaries such as VladVlad the Impeller.

Everyone has had years to quietly pile up a small hoard though. I used to think small and figure 20 grand or so IXCoin and I0Coin would be plenty assuming I had no intention of digging them up until I heard they were worth at least a buck apiece.

Nowadays though I am much more blase (with an accent on the e, I don't know unicode) about a few grand here and there and figure oh heck if that only adds up to some 20 grand I might as well forget about them another while until they are worth at least $10 each...

You just called Vlad a visionary?  Not sure if you're serious, but you got me laughing - you were always a pretty big critic of his but you were at least very professional about it, unlike most people on here.

But I agree, I only got 50K ixc and now I'm trying to buy a little more and it's been pretty difficult, even with most coins selling off.  Vlad was right about another thing - ixc is a bitch to accumulate.  No wonder it took him months to get his stake.  Most thought he was a rabid madman but if ixc hits his $10 target ("in under 90 days") he's gonna be the genius of the year....and stinking rich too as the stubborn guy refuses to sell any of his coins.
