last night I switched pools in D3 miner, saved configuration, then third chain didn't start to mine at all, it showed around 62 O, after 5 minutes O changed to X. This happens for the first time. Restart didn't help, so I shut it down for night and bring it to the apartment. Next day I unplugged all cables (from PSU and hashing boards), refitted them again, start miner and third chain is back!
Don't know what happened, maybe it was too cold for antminer, I kept it at the attic and there is only 3 celsius degree at night.
What do you think about coldness - could it harm antminer ? I think if you leave it alone without interrupting it should be fine.
I'm on stock firmware (last one) and I was just about to try Blissz upgrade
I have my D3 miners in the cellar, and 2 weeks ago, it became very cold in my mining room, the temperature was somewhere between 2-3 deg C. I was shocked to find out that none of my D3 miners could start! they were just dead! I thought right away that it might be the cold, so I took one of the D3s to another warm room (24C.), and after 10 minutes, it started without a problem! As I didn't want to dismantle the other miners, I just took the one that worked and pointed its hot exhaust air to the intake fans of the other miners using a flexible air ducting hose to warm them up (1 min. was enough for each miner to heat it up). After that, they all started without a problem! My miner is getting direct air from outside which is -9c and running strong atm but if the pool goes down they dont like to restart very well. https://i.imgur.com/Nv5K9Hl.png

Notice all the new accounts pushing that website, I can assume it's all the same person under multiple accounts trying to scam some money.

The next version will have the reboot on low hashrate working properly, so hopefully that will solve the problems for some of you that have the loosing chain issue.
Is it possible to have a count for how many time it was rebooted? So we can have an idea of how serious the problem is,

The best way is to keep it far from your home but if you have somewhere around you make sure miner is in cooler possibly environment. lower ambient temp better. Also lower clock to 400M and voltage set lovest in the global setting and fan mode in auto silent mode. This will make it run a bit quieter but dont expect much, best silent is when you turn it off. People doing own DIY in that matter, you can find some idea from YT https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=antminer+soundproofHere is my version of soundproofing "box" https://vimeo.com/244755225 But lets stick to the topic of Blissh firmware

Noob question...
I want to try this new firmware but I am scared I am not able to go back to original firmware if it doesn't work for me. I can't find where I can download the original firmware as the link from bitmain is broken.
I can see that the antminer D3 admin page has an option to download configuration at System -> Upgrade -> Generate Archive but not sure if this generates the firmware or just the configuration only. I believe it is the latter.
If someone can please provide a working link for the latest firmware from bitmain released on 11/20, I will be able to try blissz mod.
Thanks!

regarding the hardware mod...
do I need to replace the R80 resistor on all 3 boards? i have same potentiometer as in the picture, but with 3 pins. would the middle pin be unused? if so, and only used outer two pins... is it true polarity doesn't matter, as it only effects which direction screw needs to turn to increase/decrease the resistance?
thanks

They changed the firmware and broke the link. Just open a ticket with Bitmain and they will email it to you. They only took about a day to get back to me and email over... I was able to go back to the Bitmain firmware at the early stages of this firmware for a few days and the new version of the Bitmain firmware did make the system run better but Blissz firmware now runs the system better and lets me configure it to the point that it is quiet and using less power making a better profit (which isn't saying much for a D3)
