This has probably been asked before, but are you perhaps considering a similar firmware for L3+?

@blissz I have an idea for new feature. Fast switching priority of pools - by changing only priority number

Gen Tarkin of KNC Titan 3rd party firmware fame..said he looked at L3+ it is overclocked already, closed source too boot and the only gains would be the miner software tweaks (cgmnier is it?), Thus no slack in the system.. I think that was the correct interpretation of 'geek speak'as such...if my memory is correct... w/o open source it is damn tough ..now if Bitmain would HELP someone him/you etc...fine but we know THAT is never gonna happen

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

One feature I'd like to see is the ability to solo mine...
Is There any possible way you can add that to your FW? To be able to mine into a local wallet address?

After flashing to Blissz firmware then back to Bitmains, I still see Blissz logo ontop.
Is there any way I can remove that? I might have to send out a whole miner.

Weird, their website says the entire unit needs to be sent. Who is barbara and how did you get her contact info?
https://shop.bitmain.com/workOrderGuide.htmb. For the miner, if your miner is: S9: Ship the whole machine T9: Ship the whole machine R4: Ship the whole machine L3+: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machine D3: Ship ONLY the defective part or the whole machineS7: Ship ONLY the defective part, please do NOT ship the whole machine Turn the voltage of missing chain from 3-6 , it may appear . Look like lowest voltage & 1, 2 only work well with 220v D3
All D3 is 12 volts.

i know in this post is talking about custome firmware. But you try to reduce noise and sameone say samething about coordination about fans and sinchronize them i think its a litel bit more hard to achive it. What i want to ask is if sameone try to put 150mm or 200mm fan to reduce the rpm and in consecuent the noise?

ALL of the newer miners (barring some sha-256 ones) HAVE to have a stratum protocol to connect so you want to solo mine? Get that stratum connection strelhemS? Can't remember.. and that should do it.. or you could basically build a pool just for whatever coin. I started messing with that myself.. what coin are you looking at?

Warranty return is almost pointless when it comes to bitmain it will take you six months to get it back
Wonderful.... Assuming I'd have to pay shipping back to china, it would take a while for the D3 to pay back the shipping costs even if they fixed the board immediately. I guess it would be worthwhile then to take it apart and see if there is any way I could fix it myself. I've had to ship two orders in the past few months to Bitmain for repair, 1 L3+ hashboard and 2 D3 hashboards. In my experience, they're very fast on returning them. My only delay on the first repair was because they closed for a week for holiday. My advice, use USPS, and ship the boards using the 3-4 day option Priority International Express or whatever its called. For a normal size box for hashboards it cost me $60 or so. It arrives, then it will take them a week to log it into their system so don't freak out when it doesn't get marked received right away. Once they do mark it received, they'll have it shipped out within 3 days and they usually ship it UPS red so it gets back to you in 1-2 days. Door to door it takes about 3 weeks.. not terrible as far as warranty repair return times go. The fact that they ship it back to you express is fantastic since it shaves at least a week off your downtime. The trick is to ship it directly to Hong Kong, do NOT ship to California or they'll put the board on the slow boat and you wont' see a return shipment for weeks. Shipping might cost you more up front, but you'll make up for that in the mining time you won't lose waiting on California to get the board returned and mail it back to you. They don't actually do any L3 or D3 repairs on site there, so sending it to them is just adding a middleman.

The noise comes from the fan, so if your place is not too hot and you can decrease the hashrate, you can lower the fan speed. For instance, set to the lowest voltage (or 2,3) and decrease the frequency around 400, you can set fan speed to silent if the cpu temperature not so high.

As someone else mentioned, it is a bit confusing as the form for the repair ticket requires a tracking number, but you're also supposed to have the ticket printed out and in the box with the mining equipment. Also, how did you find out that they just forward anything shipped to their California facility to China? I'm wondering if the extra cost to ship to China is made up for by the faster return period.

with Asus RT-12N my D3 cant get IP too. Changing router (old tp-link) was a solution in my case.

I’m sure this was said earlier and I may have just missed it, and maybe even discussed at length elsewhere, but I challenge the use of “ May” as in “use of this firmware may void your warranty”. It should be simply stated that use of this firmware voids your warranty. Are people sending back individual boards for repair, and are able to not talk abou the firmware change, or are people reverting back to stock before their RMA claims and Bitmain can’t detect that the MHz had been changed (or the that the firmware had be rewritten?) Or am I way off and the people that use this firmware just accept the loss of failed hardware replacement rights when their hardware inevitably fails, because this firmware is so advantageous? Thanks.

Does anyone know if it is safe to run the D3's at the default 13 voltage and just change the frequency, my D3's have 0 HW errors at 13 voltage and i just want to keep them cool enough that the fans are quieter ?

If you lower the frequency you can lower the voltage too. No point in using high voltage and low frequency, you are wasting energy and generating more heat.
